“Never tried Jersey Mikes until this location opened up. Safe to say that now I am a believer. The sandwiches always taste great. The staff are super professional and courteous. The store is kept very clean and orderly. My wife and I love to share a giant #8 as one of our new favorite take out meals. Thanks for the great work and delicious food.”

“Absolutely delicious pizza, great beer selection, and friendly staff. My wife and I visited today with our 16-month-old daughter and they gave her a little hunk of dough to play with. Very thoughtful and fun. We enjoyed our pizzas immensely and we'll certainly be back for more.”

“Seriously excellent, and will definitely be returning often. Extensive, creative, and fun cocktail list while still nailing the classics. Top notch beer list too. Food was consistent and great flavor. Shoutout to the Mexican Street Corn Dip. Prices and portions were both good- we left full but not too full! Service was great and food came out at a reasonable rate (especially for a new spot!!!). Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!”

“Sue is always full of warmth and love ready to spark up conversation. Her Gyros taste like a true traditional fresh shaved gyro. Every can of soda pop is ice cold. Her little corner is always clean and buzzing with chatter. 9/10 times I will take my kids here after shopping for a coney dog, per THEIR request. It's just THAT good.”

“Everything on the menu is delicious. Their pesto cream sauce is the best any kind of pesto I've ever had. The Tortellini a la Valentini is fantastic. The brew fries are so light and crispy and I love the seasoning.”

“Loaf and Ladle is a fantastic place, a hidden gem in downtown Duluth. The owner, Alex, is the best, super kind and friendly, going out of his way to make each order special and bringing a smile to the faces of his customers. We ordered a burger and the Mac and cheese, late at night when nothing else could provide anything of comparable quality. The Mac and cheese was heaping, beautifully presented with a sprinkle of herbs, and carried a subtle jalapeno flavor alongside the perfect texture and taste of the noodles and cheese. The burger was also outstanding, quoting Melissa "this place could take on Five Guys any day". We would absolutely come here again and highly recommend it to anyone in Duluth looking for a quality, well-priced meal at a place you feel good supporting. 💙”

“Come here. I implore you. It's a unique healthy menu. Which is not too bad on the wallet. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. And there bacon! Real thick and meaty. Service was awesome! Our servers name Emily and her favorite color is blue.”

“They have very smooth coffee and the worker look like they put a lot of care into making drinks. The drinks overall was good, but I do prefer drinks with a strong flavors and less creamier. I would still recommend going here before going to Starbucks.”

“Always see them at Glensheen Concerts on the Pier, and they always have very fresh and authentic food. Staff and owner are extremely nice, personable, and hard working. Portions for prices are more than fair. I have yet to have a bad meal at their food truck.”

“Go here. It's a kinda funky, low key, delicious, and overall entirely enjoyable spot for lunch, dinner, or just drinks. We got a recommendation from a local and had to try the crazy food combos. She understated the culinary wizardry that is the fried sprouts corn ribs and the burgers were the best we've had in a long while. They combine a ton of flavors into the burger options and variety of sauces. I would highly recommend the wompling and sprouts.”

“Northern taco was great. Quesadilla was really good. Meats were flavorful, not bland. The Nashville Hot cheese curds weren’t Nashville hot. They had some bits of Nashville hot spice. The jalapeños were the hottest part of the dish.”

“Super clean, great prices on drinks, and the service is always great. It's a club, but open to the public so I always feel kinda like an outsider (in regards to patrons, not staff). Live music nights are when they really shine.”

“Great food great service! Country fries steak was 🔥 and my wife got the eggs Benny. She said it was delicious. The pancakes are also great. The bloody marry was not to my liking it was like cold roasted red pepper soup or somthing. But they will probably change the recipe up. Otherwise outstanding food. 👏”

“Great iced latte and a mocha. The calzones are delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are a little basic. Nice space! Love that they also have games. I’d like to come back to play some Pokémon next time I’m in town!”

“We were provided a text which stated the owner was busy and would not be available to greet us upon arrival. We were given instructions on how to access the house as well as our room. The arrival felt very cold and impersonal. The room was nicely appointed and contained a book of very explicit instructions for our stay. We texted Beth, the owner, when we had no hot water. We were told - it's an old house. Leave the shower run for 10 minutes and it will warm up - What a waste!! The lighting in the bathroom was very dim and left much to be desired when trying to put on makeup. There are accomodations that can be made to "old homes" to maintain the character and charm but provide modern updates/conveniences. Breakfasts were mediocre at best. When most guests leave the majority of food on their plate, you know something is missing. Half the fun of these facilities is the delicious food for breakfast and often times an afternoon treat. None of that here. We feel the price was high for the services provided. We have stayed in numerous bed and breakfast facilities and have always had top notch facilities and hosts who went the extra mile. Unfortunately that was not our experience at the Merryweather.”

“Great food, good atmosphere, and fantastic service! Our first time and it did not disappoint! They mentioned when we got in that they were a bit short staffed, but we never felt a lapse in service. The two ladies working were phenomenal. If you’re in the mood for Mexican check this place out!”

“3.5 stars review if I could give that extra .5 as the staff was friendly. In town and ran across this business looking for coffee. Appearance is great and I like the idea. Coffee was good and hot though I echo some of the other reviews about staff knowledge. My specific case was I asked - Is that a banana nut muffin? 3 workers looked at each other and were not sure - even if this business lost workers I would expect a bit more knowledge - it’s not like I was asking about the variety of wines. I will say the muffin was good though but just be aware you may run into this. I do hope the business makes it and location is not an issue. Good luck and it sounds like your receptive to the feedback so 5 stars for that...”

“Everything was great except the pizza and the lettuce for the salad bar. The lettuce was a little wilted looking. The pizzas were far below average. Absolutely fantastic chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and green beans. All were done perfectly. The waitstaff were extremely helpful and cordial. In fact everything was great except the pizzas. Overall a very good experience but the kitchen has to get their act together to serve hot, flavorful pizzas.”

“love the cornbread donuts, so thick and moist. The fired chicken was extremely juicy and melt in your mouth on the inside and crispy and golden on the outside. The dirty fried rice was so good, great flavors. The soul Mac was so creamy and sweet it was so delicious and scrumptious. The barbecue beans were so flavorful and the homemade barbecue sauce just made it that much better! No words to describe how amazing this place is. The staff is friends and kind. Such a wholesome place.”
