“This El Sombrero is relatively new. It has the staple Americanized Mexican food items one could expect. It also does have more traditional items! The Birria tacos are really quite good! I have gotten them twice and plan on getting them again. The food is good, but having been twice, both times the service was not good. Once a server seemed very disinterested in serving us and was rather neglectful of our table. The other time the server though polite, was working far too many tables and was again neglectful of our needs. Overall, the food is very good, the atmosphere is fun, but service could use help. Thus 4/5 stars for me.”

“This past Memorial Day on the way home from Fort Campbell, KY to Louisiana we had the pleasure of enjoying the very BEST RIBS EVER! We stopped for Gas but when we saw the line (mostly local folks we found out after talking to them) and smelled the food. We got in line. It was well worth the wait! When you took a bite of those ribs your eyes closed all by their selves! One local man was picking up 12 racks of Ribs. Said there was no way he could cook them this good and this cheap! He had ordered ahead of time.”

“Such a cool spot! Obviously there’s axe throwing which is awesome because there are several different game modes to choose from. There’s also darts and pool tables! Beer is reasonably priced. Burgers were absolutely perfectly cooked. Sasuke was so helpful and encouraging with trying to get me back in the swing (no pun intended) of throwing axes. My only complaint is that this wasn’t around when I was in high school here! I will be a frequent visitor for sure.”

“Update: After multiple trips this place is the place. Our waitress Dinora was very sweet! It is always packed and she was on spot! Very sweet with 2 sweet daughters! “Nice folks. Like eating in someone's house. Stopped in here Sunday with Little Joe Ayers. We both had cheeseburgers. Very tasty with a sweet brioche bun. Crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy. The lady who runs it is very polite. Her father, Tim, was there and he gave us a great tip on a joint in Phillip, MS since we were heading that area. Place is out front of where they have the Hill Country Picnic. Only complaint was no iced tea”

“Lou’s Southern Sandwich Company is the sibling restaurant of Lou’s Full Serv. The atmosphere is really well done. It is a counter service sort of place. I have been twice since it opened — both times with groups. All members of our groups have thoroughly enjoyed our time and meals. The staff has been helpful, even while they are getting things underfoot. The pimento cheese dip and corn dip are excellent! Of all the sandwiches I’ve tried, I like The Slab (a meatloaf sandwich) the best. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The fries are SO GOOD!”
