“Came into town looking to visit the old Foothills Grange restaurant only to find it was closed while they open this new version of it. It’s a great outdoor atmosphere, lots of dogs, super casual, and the food was spectacular. They had run out of food and so had to close the kitchen for about an hour while they restocked. The ordering process also seemed a little clumsy, but I think these are just kinks they’re working out. Overall it was a great experience with delicious food. We will definitely return when we’re in town.”

Pool table in the back for some extra fun and great options for draft, can, and tasty cocktails. Our group favorites are the avocado and chicken tacos but the chips were also really hitting the spot. “Snowy visit to old school subs. I was in black mtn on Tuesday for work right off Old Hwy 70E near tractor supply. Been there many times for work this was the first time I ever noticed old school subs. I decided to give then a try and sure glad I did. I ordered a 12inch Chicken Philly sub. Man was it good. I've of the best I've ever had. The staff were super nice and friendly. They did a wonderful job preparing my food. Will definitely go back and eat there again.”

“Wow, this place is amazing. I am a Cuban from Miami Florida and let me tell you this place taste like home. Not a lot of authentic Cuban restaurants in Black Mountain but this one is special. This is as authentic as it gets if you want really good authentic Cuban sandwiches and Cuban eats this is the spot to check out. The owner is the sweetest person you can meet. If I could rate this place a 10 I would but 5 stars will do.”

“***Update*** had brunch with our friends from out of town. The staff was very friendly and took safety precautions with hand sanitizer available for guests and all wait staff wore masks. Our table had a mix of everything from the superb shrimp & grits, to the morning melt, pesto omelette, and even a side of biscuits & gravy. We also partook in mimosas just to top it all off. Let’s be honest in our current day and age with everything going on it’s nice to have the option for an adult beverage to take the edge off now and again. To continue we sat outside on the patio which was dog friendly and very kid friendly as well (with tables placed further apart for safety.) They also had a bunch of different types of baked goods which all look delectable but we didn’t have a chance to nab any this time. In general the place was clean the food was delicious and it came out fast. There was plenty of variety for everyone to choose. Much happier this go around compared to Octobers. Bravo guys well done!!”
