Leo’s makes the best pizza that I’ve had in the entire South East! I was pleasantly surprised. An entire large pizza did not last on my commute home. I ate the whole thing! This visit we had lavender lattes and picked up two bags of freshly roasted beans to be able to brew the awesome blends at home. The scones - don’t stop in for coffee without having one ( or two) of their freshly baked scones. We ordered three and split them between the two of us. We had the cherry lemon, triple berry and the tomato basil with cheddar. All three were filled with flavor and melted in your mouth. We are visiting Lake Lure for the weekend and drove over to experience Openroad for our morning coffee time. It was well worth the drive over and definitely a place we will visit again.”

“Came here by chance just by walking in downtown Bryson city. We were here for new years and my wife loves coffee so we came across this place and it didn't disappoint. The only thing that bummed me out was the fact we came on a Sunday and they don't do fried pies on the weekend. Never had one but saw the sign and said that sounded good, but went in and saw the "no fried pies" on Sunday but I ended up getting a pecan cinnamon type of pastry that was delicious and the coffee was the best we had while at Bryson city. “We are so glad we found this adorable bakery during our visit to ride The Polar Express! The owners were so sweet. They let my husband try the red velvet coffee before he ordered it. He can’t stop talking about it! We also ordered three cupcakes, and they were the best we’ve ever had! I also heard the owner telling a customer that she was so sorry she didn’t have a certain cupcake that she was wanting, but they would be glad to make it if she’d be around in a couple of hours. “Sorry that I didn’t know about this place till recently - up until now, I hadn’t really found a great pretzel in the Asheville area and would have told you the best soft pretzels were at Sam’s Club! The owner is from Germany, and brought his recipe and technique with him. These pretzels are the real deal, featuring a mildly crunchy, salty malt-brown exterior and a soft, dense, stretchy-chewy interior that’s just waiting for a dip of Lusty Monk mustard or one of their excellent beer-cheeses. The interior is airy, bright and fun, and there’s ample outdoor seating. Parking is easy and free. Knowledgeable, friendly employees will help ensure you have a great time.”

This type of service is outstanding! We had the smashed avocado sandwich, the salad, the wonderful smoothies, the granola, all of it was so exquisite! “Ok, I saw a bakery and had to stop in. They had a wide variety of baked goods but mostly croissants. Smores, maple bacon, cinnamon sugar, chocolate strawberry, and so many other flavors to choose from! I got a box of 12 for everyone to pick 3 flavors each they wanted to try. The croissants were nice and flakey, and the flavors were not overpowering. I was so sad when I ran out! I cannot wait to see another Burneys so I can stop in and grab some more delicious treats!”

“Great bagels, great sandwiches, and excellent staff in an extremely clean and efficient location. I arrived at the store to find a clean and well lit environment. The staff was helpful and friendly. As I waited for my food to be prepared, I stopped in the bathroom which was just as clean with amenities for women. The sandwiches I received, used quality bagels with the typical New York bagel slightly chewy but still soft texture. The two egg sandwiches had a generous portion of eggs with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The turkey sandwich I also purchased also used a generous portion of turkey meat, as well as the fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The staff is a very key component to the business. They are helpful and provide an experience that is unique with small touches that show a level of appreciation for their customer and attention to detail. Others mentioned prices being high, I found their sandwich prices very much in line with other chain locations for egg sandwiches. Not to mention the quality of ingredients is consistent here. Great bagels, great sandwiches and an overall excellent customer and taste experience. I’ll be back.”
