“Amazing!!!!! Views were awesome and the food was fantastic! My wife and I ordered fish tacos, fish sliders, tator tot balls, spring rolls, cheese plate and the cherry dessert. Yes we ordered way too much food, but we kept seeing what everyone else was eating and just had to order it. Every thing was absolutely the best food we have had in a long time. I can't wait to go back next time we are up there. Highly recommend”

“Good place to visit in the morning. It's nice if you're staying at the Landmark Resort up the road, because it's walking distance away. Great location practically right on the lake. The coffe and sweets are phenomenal. Enjoy some coffee while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan!”

“Loved it. We stopped here after a long day seeing the sights. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They maybe could have used one more server to help everyone have more table per table, but we never felt neglected. Our beers were good, and so were the burgers. We really liked that this is a dog friendly restaurant, with an outdoor area set aside for dogs. We will be bringing our dog and some friends next time we come up.”

“The Fireside Restaurant is a cozy place to sit and chat while eating some fresh, delicious food! Our waitress served with a smile and appreciation for us folks who'd never eaten there before! I ordered a fresh salad with chicken added and two dressings on the side. A bowl of tomato bisque soup and a salad arrived for my husband. A basket of small pieces of artisan bread arrived first accompanied by some oil and delicious balsamic vinegar mixed. We will definitely return to the Fireside!”

“In the Alpine Resort. Felt like my party of four stepped back into the 1960s when we walked into this very large place with a Swiss theme. Seems nothing has changed since. Large, dead eating area that felt more like a nursing home than a restaurant, but the food was pretty good. The view of the bay was even better! I got the prime rib and veggies and a Manhattan on the rocks. All very nice.”

“Unfortunately, our latest pass through the Pub was disappointing. Perhaps the wait staff was having a bad day, but we were met with impatience and overall lack of friendliness. It seemed that the paying customers were a nuisance, rather than valued guests. We were also disappointed to learn that the pub closes earlier than the Birch Creek shows let out (or after the dinner hours are over, for that matter) - seems like such a missed opportunity to serve hungry customers. The place was pretty empty for a weekend afternoon, and we couldn't help but wonder if it was a result of a decline in customer service. In any case, the food we had was pretty good, as were the drinks. All in all, it will likely fall down our list of places to go when we're in town, though not completely out of the question.”

“Knowledgeable staff and a good tasting experience. A little steep on the price (either $12 or $8 depending on what you’d like to drink) but worth it; we worked with Michael, an older gentleman who really knew what he was talking about. He gave us great recommendations and (even with a tasting room packed full of people) made sure we were attended to. We plan to visit again in the future if we’re in the area!”

“Love the burgers. Always cooked right. Our kid enjoyed watching the train go by. In between orders the characters on the train cars. The first time was Toy Story characters, then the train brought our food. The next round, the characters were Peppa Pig, then it brought food for a couple at one end of the counter. The last round was a variety of characters from Paw Patrol to Dino Train. The counter and tables are made out reclaimed wooden doors. They even have a room up the stairs filled with toys. Across the parking is their pizza place with really good pizza. They also have an outdoor playground and carts for not only kids but adults to peddle around on a dirt track. We love visiting this place when we are in the area.”

“Bar tender was great, beers are cold, service w a smile, food was great but kitchen not optimized for service. Ordered two chili’s a salad and a sandwich....around an hour to get the food. Two chili orders take like ten seconds each. The salad was delicious but I assume it is all there to be thrown in a box. The sandwich, albeit grilled and with fries....come on like ten minutes. Place has a beautiful view and again drinks a flowing but give some time until they get the kitchen in check.”

“We stayed in the original lodge, which has smaller rooms, but they are up-to-date and comfortable. This is not a sterile, run-of-the-mill chain hotel. It's quite charming with an attached restaurant which serves great food. The service at the hotel was fantastic. I felt really cared for as a customer. I hope to return soon.”

“The atmosphere of the giant log den is fun as well, but the real treasure of this local establishment is the food itself. Seriously, 5 star food in the middle of Door County. The sauces they pair with such juicy meats are perfection. Picture is of my young son enjoying a roasted duck in a cherry reduction. He was sure it was the most delicious thing he'd ever had.”

“The food is very generic but very generous in its portions. Almost too much for me. The biggest problem I had was only one choice of eggs (scrambled) on almost all of the dishes. The menu also says that there is no substitution on the menu items. So if you like scrambled eggs you are in luck. If you want any other type of egg, you pretty much have 1 or 2 menu options. The prices are definitely tourist orientated (high) especially for breakfast items.”

“This place was great! Small restaurant that looks like a cabin, but is very nice on the inside and has a great outdoor seating area. Owned by a family who own and operate the place who are just the nicest people ever, and the food is great too! Try the Piggy Plus, my wife called it one of the best pulled pork sandwiches she's ever had and I'm inclined to agree! Kids loved their burgers too!”
