“I ate at El Parian on November 25 and had the Razorback Enchiladas, which were terrific! They are crab and shrimp wrapped in warm flour tortillas and covered in white cheese sauce (queso blanco). The traditional salsa roja and chips before the meal were better than most, because the salsa was thicker and more full-bodied. The restaurant is clean, roomy, and has modern decor, not the usual traditional Mexican stuff. Parking is available on the street immediately outside the restaurant. It is neither ample nor limited, so I will just describe it as sufficient. Being on Main Street, there are train tracks just across the street, so you may have a loud train to watch every now and then, but they don't pass through town very often. It is good to see downtown Dumas growing. This place would probably do well in a larger city like Little Rock. I understand this El Parian's is an Arkansas chain mostly in smaller towns like White Hall and Pine Bluff. An article from the Dumas Clarion (the local newspaper), says they are applying for a liquor license and hope to have Mexican drinks and beer. According to the article, "Luis Vera, General Manager, described the restaurant as authentic Mexican cuisine including Chimichangas, street tacos, and fajitas. There will be a full menu with a kid's menu, vegetarian options, and 25 combination dinners. One of their specialty [sic] will be Molcajete Supremo, which a bowl of with a [sic] chicken, steak, pork, sausage, and salsa with rice, beans and tortillas." I will be returning here often as El Parian is a breath of fresh air in a small town with limited restaurant options. This is a significant addition to the local dining scene.”

“I've been wanting to drop in here for a long time and I wasn't disappointed when I finally did. The small catfish lunch had enough food for two grown men including delicious fried catfish, okra and french fries with homemade tartar sauce and green tomato relish. It took just a little longer than I would have liked to receive my order when I was ready to go. But I won't hold that against them because the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend”

“I had my first meal here today and my only regret is that I haven’t been here sooner. I had the lunch plate which was pork loin and gravy over rice with a side of English peas. The loin was tender and perfect. The gravy was subtle and perfectly complimented the meat and rice. The English peas reminded me of the fresh garden vegetables I ate at my grandmother’s as a child. I also had a side is shrimp bisque and it was excellent. Highly recommend!”

“We had a blast at the newest family hangout in Conway! Everyone in our group had a great time, from 40 somethings down to the preschoolers. “I had stopped by this place on Fri Oct 27 hoping to get a menu and find out the date of their opening. I was Givin a flyer with info on it. They were opening next day 28th. So day after that I was in there. Nice place it's a bit on the outskirts of lake village, ample amount of parking, it's usually not a busy part of town, so easy to get to. We were greeted outside and welcomed, as we opened door welcomed once again everyone was so friendly and happy. I noticed how clean everything was, tables were shiny. No sooner sat down greeted by another and asked about our drinks. They came very promptly along with chips and salsa. The menu, wow pages and pages I had to have my husband go get my glasses . We ordered and within a short length of time our order came. It smelled very good. It looked very good, and yes indeed it was really really good, we will be going back ! I didn't look too close but yes they do sell Margaret's and such . Yummy!!!”

“We've been eating at this U.S. Pizza location since it opened, always a great experience until recently. The level of service seems to have really dipped. It feels like they are possibly short on servers, which happens, but I believe a note on the door, host stand, and/or menus would help set a better expectation for customers. The food is still great, but it takes a long time to get greeted, get refills, we've had multiple orders come out incomplete or not at all, and just super slow service in general for needs throughout the meal. I would also recommend for the runners and other helpers be trained to look for ways to help the servers with refills, sauces, extra plates, etc. or at least relay messages/updates to the servers to help the flow of service. They could really benefit from additional attentive training and another server or two. This is more of a note and feedback for ownership and management more than anyone else.”

I ordered the steak fajitas and asked if they would add nopalas to it. (Cactus) First off, the fajitas for one are more like fajitas for 3 and extremely flavorful. The salsa is a bit on the smokey side and has a little heat, which others have already referred to in their reviews. This is close to the taste we experience just across the border in Mexico . What a great find, and we will definitely come back and, next time, share the fajitas.”
