“Jessie is the "master" crafter of my awesomely concocted dark chocolate mocha. Only one other barista has built my drink so nicely and that's Emma at the Orinda Cafe. Thank you to you both. Arriba!”

“The manager, Alex has made sure the quality of the food is outstanding and the wait time is efficient. The restaurant is clean and a great place to eat while shopping the outlets. They have good milkshakes! Lots of flavors. This is also around the corner from Burrell Field where they play everything at the sports complex.”

“Clean, pleasant restaurant with old-fashioned decor, fairly-priced food, and good service. This is located inside Oakland Airport Executive Hotel. The full menu is available from opening to closing. There was only one person working to take orders, cook, and serve food and drinks. One person seemed to be enough though; it's not a popular place. There were only two customers when I visited this place in the evening, including myself. Everything on the menu sounded good, and the one other customer who was there was complimenting the food after every other bite, exclaiming that the eggs were just how he liked them and that the sandwich was perfect. I only wanted a little bit of food, because I had eaten before coming to this hotel. I ordered a side of fries to-go so that I could take it to my room. I was expecting a small container, but after five minutes of waiting, I received a full-size to-go box of fries that came with plenty of napkins and ketchup. My total was $6.62 including tax. The receipt said the fries were $6, but the menu said $5. I didn't bring it up because I got a large portion, but remember to check your receipt. This restaurant is the best part of this hotel, which isn't saying much, but I recommend checking this place out before you open a food delivery app, if you're staying at this hotel.”

“I have ordered food from Kanteen couple of times. Once for my son's birthday. The Chicken Biryani was so delicious, everyone at the party liked it very much. I usually order with them for my sport events. They served us with Indian fusion food like Sandwiches, salads, sweets. They were delicious and especially the summer drink from them was out of the world. We continue to order food from them. If you want to taste different kind of foo d other then usual YOU SHOULD definitely try it out.”

“My Favorite Breakfast joint, the Salmon croquettes are the best. Staff is Amazing 🤩”

“Tried their chicken Mandi and lamb haneeth. Both the dishes ended up being almost the same but different with meat. The flavor of the rice was good but the meat could have used some more spices. Huge quantity of servings. Good service. Entrance of the restaurant is not welcoming as it shares the main entrance with a smoke shop and as soon as you enter the kitchen is the first thing you see followed by seatings. Also not in the best neighborhood so be cautious about your car and belongings.”

“Talk about CRUNCH. The love and attention to detail Eli puts into this food is of the stars. Everything is homemade- even the bun!!!!! I’m telling you, the chicken sandwich is life-changing. AND THE SAUCE! Please spare yourself the disappointment of Popeye’s or KFC (or anything else) and get to PIMPIN. 🔥🔥🔥”

“We ordered to go and got the brisket plate with Mac and cheese and garlic potato’s. The food was delicious the meat was definitely the star of the show. Next time I will ask for extra sauce because it was excellent. The sides complimented the meat very well but I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed them as much without the meat with the sauce. The service was prompt and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Update (10/7/23) they seem to have closed? Never answer phone and the street signs have not been there. Shame, I really wanted them to succeed. ==== Great new Chinese restaurant! I walked in off the street and ordered to go. Nice lady taking orders told me their name is China Kitchen. Replaced the old Pinche Tacos location on High @ Virginia . I got an order of spicy house chow mein & pot stickers and they were both great. In fact that's the best chow mein I've had in a long, long time. The meats (chicken, beef, BBQ Pork, and 2 shrimp) were cooked perfectly and all were tender (no gristle) and super flavorful. The chow main noodles were chewy exactly how I like them (they are often overcook and soft). Had nice level of spice. This dish was firing on all cylinders. Pot stickers had a nice thin wrapper, tender and succulent filling. This appears to be their soft opening, no signage inside or out, they don't even have their own printed menus yet and are just using another restaurants but whatever: I'll be back.”

“So happy this place showed up in San Leandro! I loved the Hayward location, this one does not disappoint. The McLovin sandwich is a perfect marriage of spice and savoriness with the Chipotle mayo, peppery sausage patty and gooey cheese (I got cheddar). My partner in crime enjoyed his medium roast coffee (no frills for him). He looks forward to trying the cold brew next. That fact that he wants to come again means Hippies Brew has won over my coffee connoisseur. I ordered the peppermint mocha, blended. My sweet tooth is dying so I requested 25% sweet and no mocha drizzle. I actually love that they put actual peppermint leaves in the drink! It added to the earthiness of it all and did not distract from the coffee flavor. My new favorite spot. Can't wait to bring others.”

“This has been my favorite place in San Leandro ever since they opened. The drinks are good the food is good and they have games like air hockey that you can play at no extra charge! My favorite is the ice cream crepes! And the owner is super nice!”

“If you’re trolling around looking for a place to eat and Fiji Fry House is open, drop everything and go eat there. I’ve just had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life at FFH. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, totally sublime, and the chicken curry bowl, so so good. The curry bowl had some pickled carrots on the side that were a totally new taste for us, pickled but slightly salty. The bhajia, an appetizer, were amazing too. They have a couple of tables out front, no indoor dining. You can order for pick up or do what we did and sit out front to eat these sumptuous dishes. You may recognize the flavors as Indian but they are uniquely Fijian, something similar but not exactly the same. The guy at the restaurant is super nice, friendly and welcoming. Don’t miss this place!”

“I’ve been to Turk’s tacos twice now and have ordered carne asada, chicken and carnitas super tacos as well as carne asada sopes. All these items are decent but not amazing flavor. The super tacos include extra condiments like cheese but both times I’ve ordered the extras were slightly different. At $3.50 each, I wish they included guacamole and crema but they don’t. I would return for the convenience as it’s walking distance for me but would not recommend anyone go out of their way. The atmosphere is nicer than the average taco truck because they have an entire parking lot and created a covered seating area with picnic tables and also have two porta potties.”

“Food here is so good and a decent price for plates (I think it was $15 for a 1 meat plate and $20 for 2 meats ). Parked right outside Planet Fitness so a perfect post gym meal. The ribs are very juicy and the BBQ sauce he makes is delicious! The baked beans always hit along with the potato salad. Only complaint is that the bread sometimes gets soggy from the items in the box but that can easily be fixed. Definitely one of my favorite quick BBQ spots and I highly recommend giving him a try!”

“One of the few places open till midnight. I have been trying some sushi rolls and found them to be very good. The fish is fresh and the rolls are very well made. Friendly little spot, some of the guys were singing karaoke and looked like they were having a blast. Wish I could have stayed there longer.”
