“Eagle is a top end butcher and Mel is an artisanal coffee maker. The two of them make Meat & Essentials a gem in the quaint community of San Marino. If you want sustainable pasture raised meat, amazing coffee, the best breakfast sandwich in LA, and other small batch food items, Meat & Essentials is a great place to visit.”

“This is the second google review I’ve ever written. My boyfriend suggested this place because he tried it out and really liked it. I got the spinach and egg sandwich and I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved it. Everything in this sandwich is something I love and combined in this way I almost died from joy. I can’t wait to eat here again. 😭😍”

“The management was highly gracious when we told them we got recently married and were on honeymoon. They even called us and asked if we needed anything else. They treated us with Mionetto Prosecco, Lava molten cake and fresh strawberries. Jackie and Richard at the reception were very accommodating and friendly. Richard went above and beyond to give us excellent service. Way to go 👏🏽👏🏽 Will highly recommend this Hotel to stay and best of all its only 7 mins from LAX.”

“Came here once & since then I absolutely just love coming here every morning not only because everyone is genuinely really sweet but because of specifically an employee named Connie .. such a kind soul, truly hard working, helpful and the sweetest ever. Ahhh never fails to bring smiles on people’s faces as they enter.”

“It is a new location and I wanted to try it out. Wait time was longer than expected due to a problem on their end. I showed them my order and they were quick to deliver it. They even updated my drink to the next biggest size, on the house. Overall, good and friendly services. Will be returning and thank you starbucks for paying it forward.”

“Beautiful and fun idea. They have such a beautiful restaurant. It took a while at the beginning before we got served and yet the food came out quickly. The only gluten free options they had were the salads. The hot and cold teas were very good. Would love to see them make some desserts, pastries or bread with gluten free options to be more inclusive. The chef salad I had was pretty good although I would’ve loved to try the other options and get the tea party tray.”

“Great brunch place but they're definitely under staffed. We usually take them to-go to avoid the crowd but the food taste so much better when dining in. Their short ribs benedict is amazingly great. I also enjoyed their fish and chips. The California omelette was so-so but I do like their serving of baked small potatoes than fried hash in other places. Healthier option for sure.”

“The iced blueberry matcha with oat milk is a great treat. Super balanced matcha, sweet, & refreshing, you can clearly taste the blueberry. They make their own pastries and the staff is super friendly, especially Dan. They have a few different locations, and this one seemed consistently busy while we were there. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with free parking in the lot. Next time, I’m going to try a sandwich!”

“In all honesty I’m pretty harsh when it comes to liking places. This place is incredible. The food the atmosphere the coffee. Their stake is amazing as well. Any negative review has to be a competitor or someone trying to spew hate on this restaurant. The service is amazing, servers always check to make sure your food is good. If you are a latte lover try the lavender with vanilla latte. I’ve come back consistently, their ingredients are super fresh and are local. The food is super colourful and definitely a place to try in La. Keep up the fantastic work guys! Thank you.”

“Very busy location, and this was a weekday morning, hardly any parking, great if you live in the area and can walk, has plenty of seating, and moved the line very quickly. Not overly friendly, but it was clean especially for the area it was in.”

“Excellent sandwich shop. Order at the counter and sit at inexpensive but comfortable tables. My wife had the pesto chicken sandwich. I had the burger. Both came with roasted potatoes that were fried kind of like home fries but bigger. I also had the homemade soup. All of it was outstanding! Service was great and very friendly. There's metered parking on the street. Spent $50 for the two of us but it was well worth it! They also serve breakfast all day but we did not have that.”

“A new addition to the ever growing sawtelle Japan Town. It is Small and cute inside. A perfect flower wall for your Instagram photos. Workers are very friendly. Try the matcha with strawberry mix! The matcha is just perfect. They also have a deep matcha for those who really know the real matcha flavor.”

“Breakfast here is stellar. Their whole menu is Thai-influenced, so their sandwich selection is unique and really filling! They also roast their coffee and make a lot of other things (such as their sausage patties) in-house which I am always impressed by. The espresso I ordered was a lovely dark roast with strong citrus notes, not for the faint or anti-acidic coffee lover, but absolutely perfect for my tastebuds. Service was friendly and the line wasn’t too long. The supervised lot they’re located in has l parking out front, but during peak hours I imagine it would be difficult to get in. I came around 10:30am on a Wednesday and it was mostly empty. Plenty of outlets, tables and seating for those who need to work remote. The music volume is reasonable and they were playing a mix of ambient and light trap when I was waiting for my food&drink. The only criticism I can think of is that their coffee prices are at least a $1.25 higher than other coffee houses. Since they roast in-house I would expect it to be lower due to being able to save on costs? I could be wrong though, I’ve never run a coffee shop so… in any case, definitely worth a repeat or for you to check out en route to work.”

“You can find this place on the second floor in a former Ramen shop. They seem to focus on more Vegan friendly options which is a good thing as non-vegans like us get to explore into other types of recipes. They currently don't do walk-up ordering, which can be annoying to old school people (like me), but using Postmates or Uber Eats is really not that inconvenient. We tried the drip coffee, Ube Cheesecake, Dirty Ube Latte, and Halo-Halo. We enjoyed it all, especially the Halo-Halo which my wife said was good which says ALOT! Can't wait to have a chance to try one of the unique bread pudding desserts in the future.”

“Excellent service. Good standard hamburger made with quality meat on a quality bun. I had the pecan pie. Total about twenty plus tip. I don't recommend the outside seating because of the street peeps.”

“This is a place in downtown West Hollywood you couldn’t possibly miss. Scorched in a July summer, I was craving for a refreshing drink and something warm to pair for my lunch - and there was Alchemist. It is a nice Mediterranean setting with warm entry into the place. The waitress was very hospitable. I ordered a fresh lemonade. It was very refreshing. The baklavas and other confectioneries were pulling me in. I had a big lunch started with Kofta Kebab . It is quite a starter. I’d recommend everyone to try the lentil soup. Lemonade didn’t fail to tell its own story. All in all, this is a pretty good place for my Mediterranean cravings. I’ll be back soon. Plus they had free coffee on the day I visited.”

“Love this Starbucks in particular. All because of the baristas. It's the people that work here that make it worth coming to this location. They really do try to get to know you AND remember your drink. And it's always the little things like those that make this location special.”

“I am really not a waffle eater but I've suddenly become a fan after trying this cafe's Belgian waffle. It's huge but cheap. It has almonds, banana, strawberry and cream. The taste was great especially if you eat it with honey. My mom decided to try the Chicken Pesto Panini and the taste was excellent. The meat was flavored well and the bread was perfectly toasted. The foods were great but the smoothies were just okay. We didn't enjoy the smoothies as much as we had hoped. I am not sure how their juices tastes like but I would definitely try one of their veggie juices the next time I find myself here. The cafe has small space but clean and nicely decorated.”

“This Starbucks is brightly lit and have a tall ceiling. So, it looks good. The seating is not that comfortable though. The wifi is good but they blanked out all the outlets. I guess they do not want customers to stay very long here. I was there on NY Eve around 7pm. There was a mentally unstable man talking to himself and sort of intimidating customers there. Fortunately he didn’t stay long. It is probably out of the staff’s control for unwelcome intruders coming through the cafe bothering customers but this kind of things would discourage me to come relax in here. This cannot be a favorite Starbucks for me. Update: There are two all-gender restrooms but one is ‘out-of-order’. There’s a short line for the only ‘of-order’ restroom. The female user before my turn told me there was no toilet paper. I guess the staff doesn’t maintain the restrooms well. Another possibly homeless person came in to the restaurant. A few seconds later a security guard came in and hustled him away. So, either the restaurant or the community is trying to address the issue of unwelcomed wanderers.”

“I stopped by on Thanksgiving, and they were in 2-3 places that opened, which I appreciate. I had a chance to experience with non-crowded atmosphere to take photos and have better views/options to choose where to sit. They have a bar area, plenty of seats inside, and many medium to high outdoor seating areas where you can see people walking or the front view of the mall. I ordered the smoked salmon sandwiches and a lavender latte but did not taste much of the lavender. The smoked salmon sandwiches were great, not too heavy, and quick to come out after ordering around 10 mins on a non-peak date of my visit. I tried this restaurant in the Newport Beach area, so I'm not sure how it works during peak times or how long the wait is in general.”

“Awesome dining experience. The breakfast was delicious and great service! The waffles were crisp yet soft. comes with whipped cream, bananas and blueberries. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious. Comes with a fruit bowl and Nutella. The eggs Benedict also fantastic! The breakfast potatoes are to die for! It’s a bit on the pricey side but well worth it.”
