“This is not your average shell gas station, what a wonderful treat! Inside you will find an outstanding range of food along with a separate coffee shop. You actually get to see them roasting their own coffee beans. Everyone was super friendly and everything is spotlessly clean.”

“We stopped here passing through on a road trip on a whim and it was so delicious! The moose burger was crunchy, buttery, and overall awesome. Fries were great and came out hot and fresh! It has a covered outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. Staff is super friendly and inviting. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite!”

“Our trip for our family reunion was a huge success! The lodge is absolutely beautiful, the views are awe-inspiring, the rooms are so well decorated, clean and comfortable. The food was sumptuous and freshly prepared by the new owners. All four of them were welcoming to us and their other guests! We've found our new getaway haven.”

“Tried out the new place. Had Reubens and pepperoni pizza. The sandwiches were full and tasty, and the pizza was very good, as it had a savory sauce. The crust was nice and thin, but not overly crispy, and just the right amount of cheese. Everything was super hot! Gotta wait a bit next time before diving in since I burned the roof of my mouth. We will certainly be back.”

“New owner and invigorated management. Welcome Nathan and family to the neighborhood. Lovely canoe trip across Watchic Lake and the inlet to the Outpost, serving soul food and a range of beers on tap (including a few craft and IPAs). I had succulent buffalo wings with blue cheese and fried seasonal mixed vegetables. Staff friendly, service fast; seating inside or outside on the inlet/garden, and takeaway possible. See you again real soon!”

“Great restaurant for American food, but stick with the American food they serve. We got a 12’ pizza, a grilled cheese panini, mozzarella sticks, a Spinach Strawberry salad, a Veggie Burger, and the chocolate mousse. The mozzarella sticks weren’t anything special, they seem pretty similar to ones you could get at a grocery store. The pizza was pretty good. It had lots of cheese and a well cooked crust, but the size wasn’t enough for 4 people. The salad and burger were where they shone through. The salad was absolute sublime! The strawberrries and nuts paired extremely well their “Vidalia Onion” dressing, and they cooked the eggs perfectly. You wouldn’t think to combine the ingredients they did, but it was truly amazing. The veggie burger was also great. It tasted homemade, fresh, and flavorful, ad opposed to the artificial buns you would get at other restaurants. Nice hearty taste. 8.5”

“Go to this place for the incredible views. Food was good - standard - and they were accommodating of my gluten allergy. They had gluten free buns if you wanted them. The Caesar salad was good, the blackened salmon sandwich was good, the queso for the nachos was amazing. Even better, the sunset views.”

“Pastries were amazing 💗 I got the Cali- Chicken sandwich it wasn't my favorite. Too big for anyone to bite into, chx had very little flavor and I would have loved it warm. My husband got one of the daily specials, Cheeseburger Sub, the Burger had very little flavor and seemed completely dried out. He was so unimpressed he barely ate half of a half. *They also listed homemade chips served with sandwiches, and they don't do them anyone. $35 for two sodas, two less than mediocre subs and one pastry 😔”

“A group of us bicycled in. We just had ice cream and cups of coffee so I can't comment on the food, but the staff was super friendly. Even put ice into our water bottles which we asked to be filled. Much appreciated on a very hot day.”

“Great place that is a current staple in the town. Food is always evolving and improving. Fried pickles have become fantastic over the years. Pizza is great. For anyone who isn't from the area, there is a history lesson in the names of the food. Staff is always friendly and the drinks are wonderful. Good kids menu selection.”

“IT’S OPEN! Delicious Chinese food! Finally after Covid-19 they reopened, My husband and I were super happy with the food, I order more rice to heat up tomorrow. Super tasty flavor! Personal note: Super friendly guy, he was doing everything by himself at least today (I personally will ask every person who thinks in going there to be kind and respectful if you can’t understand or he doesn’t understand what you need/want. He seems such a charismatic guy who came to this beautiful state to bring us a real good Chinese food. For me, a native Spanish speaker it was a bit hard to understand but my husband it’s just awesome and he was understanding everything. He also mentioned that for now it is open just for dinner time. Thank you for reading my review, Blessings and have a wonderful day.”

“One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! We watched the Asian pizza chef (yes, Asian) make and bake the pizza. Great care was taken every step of the way. Once the pizza was cooked she remove the pan and put the pizza back in to crisp up the crust. She checked it several times until it was just right. OMG, this thing (house special) was freaking awesome. If you're in the area do yourself a favor, come here! The owner is fun to chat with, too.”
