I have been elsewhere (ahem, the phone center at my local Target...) where people seem to think I am hard of hearing for whatever reason and lower their masks to speak with me. My friend was treating me to coffee. I casually mentioned looking at the menu that the lime drink sounded pretty cool. I guess as new customers (and coming in all sweaty from a long bike ride) we got a double-treat; I got a couple of samples of the fruit drinks and he got one, too (lined up here to show off the rainbow cornucopia)! Strong customer service and friendly folks.”

“I work at CMC Main and having a food option open late is wonderful. I have had some really good experiences here coupled with a few poorer ones, namely undercooked chicken on a salad once and another time with very poor customer service upon stepping up to order. All other times have been very satisfactory, and a prime example was when I ordered a caffe mocha and forgot to mention I needed almond milk. After the drink had been made I realized my mistake and asked if I could get one with almond milk, staring that it was completely my mistake and nothing they did wrong, and apologized for it. They graciously made me another one, didn't charge me for it, and wished me a good night. As far as the store itself, it has a very good layout with plenty of seating and is kept clean. It is found on the ground floor near the front entrance to the hospital.”

We got a "coffee" for my tween. Her first iced mocha latte, *wink* light on the coffee, heavy on the chocolate and whipped cream. *wink* She loved it, and felt so grown up. “Starbucks is a treat that I permit myself pretty regularly. This store does a GREAT job, the drinks are top notch (as are most Starbucks' drinks). But what sets them apart is their community involvement and the focus on personal service. If you are there with any regularity, they work hard to remember your name and what you like. And that, too, is like other Starbucks, but the Sumter Starbucks under Kendra's management seems to take it a notch higher and notably friendlier. In these COVID days, that is especially hard, but they still manage it!”
