“This is a pretty legit Turkish pide, lahmacun, and kebab place. Everything came straight out of the oven so it was fresh and hot to the touch. The lahmacun (thin pizza thingys) was steaming when we received it and the pide (thick Turkish pizza) was still glistening with butter and the cheese oozing out of its sides. We also tried the Erbil kebab and it was flavorful and full of spices. Great stuff!”

“We were looking for a light breakfast that felt healthier and stumbled upon Sweet Citrus inside the local Burlingame Market grocery store on Broadway. Fantastic curated selection of smoothies, juices, bowls, and Greek yogurts. We got the “Island Vibez” açaí bowl and “Sweet Tooth” smoothie and both are delicious. Island vibez is a burst of flavors that had me wondering “why can’t all açaí bowls be like this?” Fruits are fresh and sweet and the housemade coconut almond butter they put in it is otherworldly. The menu is huge, and if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always create your own smoothie so they make sure to have something for everybody. There are a few tables outside where you can sit and drink/eat your bowls if the weather is nice. Sweet Citrus stops making drinks at 6:30p everyday, presumably so that the staff can tidy the kitchen in the last 90 minutes before the grocery store closes. Nice, polite staff. Thanks so much. “Eight of us had dinner and we all enjoyed our meal. The diversity of the menu was very good with a broad enough selection to meet most diner’s needs. We found the presentation to be the best sushi serving aesthetic we have had frankly the food was as good to look at as it was to eat. While the service was not fast the speed was acceptable. Our group had two areas which they could work on: 1) the staff was a little clueless on what to serve young children, this of course will be an easy fix when they study the options. 2) the order taking and food delivery was a little bit disorganized. Both of these issues are minor and I would recommend this as the best Japanese food on the coast. We paid $56 per person but nobody ever said sushi is cheap.”

We ordered 3 rolls, one was a special order. The fish was fresh. The tempura shrimp was hot and cooked perfectly. Nothing was drowned in sauce (as is the case with other places). It was a perfect, simple experience. The food was the highlight and the service, flatware, and presentation all augmented it. Great price for the Quality of product.”

“I’m so impressed with the hospitable service I received. I called to ask if they had caldo de pollo, which they have available everyday! They were closing in 6 minutes and it was going to take me 9 minutes to get there. The young lady on the phone reassured me that it was okay to come still and that she would get the soup ready. The soup is delicious accompanied with a half avocado, tortillas, rice, and salsa verde to put in the soup. I’m going back and support this restaurant! :)”

“This is our first time visiting their new location, we have been going to their other location a lot of times. The decor is clean and relaxed. They have a large outside sitting area which I like, with heaters too. Service is good. Food is flavorful, however, everything was about 40% too flavorful. I would like the seasoning to dial back a notch, especially with the salt. The rice is a little too soft and mushy. The potato is very crispy and flavorful but could use less salt. Both proteins were quite salty that we couldn’t finish, as well as the miso soup. But I can see everything could be perfect by bringing down the saltiness. Otherwise, everything is lovely and we will be back.”

“My first time here and I loved this place. Went with a group of picky European girlfriends and we all had a great time. My favorite was the Winter tartine, beet and goat cheese salad had delicious chicken and was a very generous portion. Coffee was also excellent (cappuccino). It's a fun comfortable place, kind of feels like you are eating in someone's kitchen (in a good way). Service was very friendly and they let us linger when it wasn't so busy. “Regularly ride by the truck and always see at least one customer. Decided to stop by. Ordered the Chile Relleno plate over rice, frijoles and macaroni salad. Added a hot chocolate drink. If your Spanish isn't up to par, the clerk also speaks English. The meal was excellent, the beans didn't taste like they contained lard, the rice was fluffy and flavored with a stock, the macaroni salad cooked just right and the stuffed ground meat chile relleno was greaseless and tasted homemade. Well return to try the rellenitos, and hilochas. GREAT job guys”

There are so many choices and a variety of fresh veggies stuffed into each bowl. Rice bowls have a base of partially killed brown rice and mixed greens. On top is washable salad, red cabbage, carrot, edamame, takuan, onion, and THREE choices from a huge list of seasoned meats, seafood, and veggie dishes. I really like the miso nasu eggplant, spicy beef, and spicy shrimp, my partner likes the shrimp tempura, teriyaki chicken and teriyaki tofu. We both love the creamy sesame dressing which is like kewpie roasted sesame dressing (there are other options) We also like the takuan (pickled radish) so much that we order a full side order. It is SO satisfyingly crunchy and the sound of the crunch penetrates your brain in the best way.”
