“Ive tried all the pizzerias in Bar Harbor but just had Rosalie’s first time yesterday. It’s traditional Italian style is definitely the best in the area. Reel Pizza might have a more exotic topping offering and they’re very good but Rosalie’s is excellent. I love their very fresh chewy crust.”

“We had been here before 3 years ago and liked it so why not go back especially since finding decent non touristy stuff in Bar Harbor is difficult. I must say the second time was even better than the first. Service was outstanding we got lucky and went during an off time and were seated immediately. Husband had a flight of beer and liked everyone I had their in-house blueberry soda amazing. The sandwiches we ordered were super tasty both of us finished everything on the tray. honestly couldn't ask for a better more laid-back place to go for food and drinks.”

“Perfectly done steamers and soft shelled lobster and corn on the cob. Butter was hot, corn was fresh, clams and lobster were neither overdone or underdone. The restaurant is hung with great art from local artists, cool outdoor heaters, comfortable raised tables and stools in the bar area and very pleasant and quick service and drink refills. have eaten there 4 or 5 times in the last couple of months - always with the same superb results. Have also done the same meal as take-out for large and small groups and it, again, was perfectly cooked and packaged. HUGE addition to NEH!”

“Stopped by for a drink and a bite. Everything on the menu looked amazing and there was a great selection of wines and beers, and some great looking cocktails. We were served by pleasant and efficient waitstaff. We were served warm bread with our drinks and it was delicious. We’ll be back to try the food someday soon!”

“This place was perfect for our trip out to the Bass Harbor Head Light. So good in fact that I felt I should right this review. Outdoor seating is plentiful and provides a look out to the harbor. Lobster was amazing and the menu had some great bbq variety which was done really well. You could tell all ingredients were fresh and top notch. Keep doing what you are doing and I hopefully all the best”

“Kat and the crew at Hearth and Harbor are amazing, as is the food. Awesome wood burning oven pizzas with a bit of that New Haven burnt crust...so tasty! We also love the roasted beet salad! Looking for a traditional South Philly pork sandwich? They have that too! Thanks for coming to town!”

“The girl who made my sandwich, I learned, was the manager of the place. She was fantastic, a really great person, and suggested lots of things to do locally. Plus, she made a mean sub. There's lots of other food options in this convenience store, too, the pizza looked good.”

“Went to dinner here last night and everything was delicious! Like out of this world. Hands down the best meal we’ve had while visiting Maine. The cheesy pork fries, brisket, and beans are a must. I think they may have been the best beans I’ve ever had, not kidding. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Also appreciated their efficient set up - Grab a menu and table then order at the counter whenever you’re ready. Highly recommend this place!”

“There's finally a proper hot dog stand in Ellsworth. I've stopped here twice already since they have opened and both times I was in and out in no time. So far I've tried four different styles of hot dogs and loved them all. JAKS is definitely a great alternate to the other fast food style restaurants in Ellsworth. Although I do like the simplicity of the menu a few more additional toppings wouldn't hurt.”

“I went here with my total beer connoisseur beer geek boyfriend last weekend, while on a short vacation in Maine. It was off the beaten path and in a really cool way. The outdoor beer garden was hip feeling and the other folk around there felt super cool, kind felt of like I was in my small hometown with all my community and old friends. I got a hard cider, which was made by a local guy. Seriously! it was the best cider I have ever had. I tend to find them most often way too sweet and this was dry and authentic with strong taste of apple, it was as if I had gone back in time to an old farmhouse and was drinking the real stuff. My boyfriend ordered an IPA and when he took a sip remarked, wow, this is on par with Hill Farmstead! he left buying some of their to-go cans which I never see him do, the art on the cans was totally beautiful and cool too.”

“Beautiful space for yoga, dance and other wellness-related events/activities. Natasha and the rest of the Steamy Buddha Community was very supportive and enthusiastic when I presented my Gong Journeywork and Community Kirtan events last year. And did I mention the food??? Amazing!”

“I have been to Margarita's a couple of times since they opened. I wasn't expecting to like it because I've never been a fan of Mexican food, but their food is absolutely amazing. I'm in love with the street corn, it's my favorite dish. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Of course, the Margarita's are amazing too! I definitely recommend this place, especially if you love Mexican. Delish!”

“What an absolute gem The Brooklin Inn is. While our visit was short, it was memorable and we will 100% return. The Brooklin feels at once familiar and homey, yet modern with beautiful design-accents. The local, fresh food is carefully prepared and served with love. Pi who is the inn's owner is really lovely and personable. We truly felt refreshed after our 24 hour stay and can't wait to return to this very special place.”

“Just what we wanted, great lobster with a view of the water. Quaint, comfy, friendly staff, good grilled chicken sandwich for the landlubber. Dog loved his ice cream with 2 dogbones in it which he ate before his hot dog. Cute post office next door, see picture. Will definitely be back!”

“Perfection, truly. We arrived at sunset and the harbor was awash in pink light. Simply stunning. I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. The service was so great. The food was wonderful. Fresh, cooked perfectly and timely. We had 3 kids (including a 5 year old), two parents and a Granny and everyone was happy. We left happier and calmer and that’s always a good thing. We’ve been searching for an excuse to head back!”

“This was our home away from home while in town for 4 days. The owners and staff are awesome. They made us feel so welcome. Chef was very cool too. Worked hard all day and night and still made time to talk to us. Can't wait to return. And the food and drinks were amazing. Live music was great too! Great vibe.”

“We took the ferry from bar harbor to Winter harbor today and was able to walk down to chase restaurant. The food was simply perfect the lobster BLT was the perfect combination of taste crunch and flavor. The broiled scallops stuffed was great though they did not remove the foot. Highly recommend this place for food and service.”

“Slow service, but it was a busy night. Portions were on the smaller side. No lobster (except in risotto). The bread and olive oil were great, and the mussels were good with a hefty portion. The salads and entrees were small, but tasty. I didn't care for the haddock and scallops but the venison and steak were great. Would give it another chance.”

“Not a bad spot to grab some grub. A little pricey for the portions you get. Waitress was good and the ice cream was good. It's a different type of feel when you walk in. You have to order your food and then go sit down. Kind of like a fast food joint but not the fast food fare.”
