“Best fried seafood around. I drive 40 miles to get the tenderloin clams! They are always perfectly fried !! I love the cole slaw. It has a great taste and is consistant. Friday night is fish fry night, all you can eat with many combination platters available . The prices I don't believe can be beat anywhere in the region. The dining room is very dated but don't let that deter you. Try it once and see for yourself !!”

“What a fresh breath of air in the Biddeford restaurant scene, as Batson River continues the city's transformation into a more chiq Portland suburb. This restaurant immediately stakes its claim as one of the best in Saco/Biddo. The decor is truly stunning. At once artsy and eye-opening, yet understated and relaxing, Batson's ambience is gorgeous. The location in the heart of downtown is ideal for an easy walk to & fro the Biddeford City Theater, the local markets, or the rest of the up-and-coming food and drink scene in the area. The selection of food is varied but not overwhelming and everybody should find something delicious they like. And the bartender made a killer cocktail. Heck, connected to the also brand new Lincoln Hotel, you can justify staying the whole night! Batson River is new and exciting while remaining accessible for local residents. Don't wait to check out the place that everybody is talking about in southern Maine!”

“Food was AMAZING!!! Food was fresh, and authentic. Atmosphere was fun. Service was ok, people were nice but busy and not enough staff (sign of the times). As long as you aren't in a hurry this was such a great place to go. The old owners kept it dark, this place is bright and vibrant and again, the food was simply amazing. They had one waiter, one person bringing food out and a bartender. Hard to get help so even though they were short staffed they did pretty good and kept a positive attitude while serving. Honestly I can't wait to go back.”

“What a great little place to stay for a family. Cozy, warm (or cool in the summer), and all the amenities needed for a comfy stay. It's also across from the owners restaurant that'll do take out as well. Good eats for sure. An all-in-one place. Enjoy!”

“Everything was perfect. Just delicious. Fast and friendly service. My grandfather said the donuts were the best ones he’d had since he was a kid on the farm in Moro. I had the omelette one day and a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato the next. Hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. Homemade bread!”

“Enjoyed a decent meal at a new elegant Italian restaurant heading into Kennebunkport. We are lucky to have so many new options in this area. The gardens and landscape were vast and very impressive. They had outdoor seating, Adirondacks and a fire pit. The parking lot was a tad dark and the entrance was attractive but not well marked. We weren’t sure if it was the back door. Upon entry there was a podium (thank goodness) and a view into a very attractive bar area on the first floor. Stunning decor. We were seated upstairs. Our server was excellent, helpful throughout. That’s important as they offer unique products and ingredients not seen often. We enjoyed a couple of craft cocktails and their unique and tasty chilled bread and accoutrements. Different and good. We selected two appetizers - Mussels: fantastic flavor/best in the area from what we’ve had all summer. Fried Squid: similar to a spicy Rhode Island version, robust sauce but hidden a little as it was below the squid. Very light and tasty. We were conflicted on our two pasta entree selections. We selected Trenne as one and Eggyolk Taglilitelli now with shrimp as the other. The handmade pasta was excellent. Compliments to whoever made that. Light, melted in our mouths and accepted the sauces nicely. We didn’t fully enjoy each sauce thoroughly. You could tell that there was a lot of thought and technique, but neither of us were loving them, like “I craving more of this”. Good, not great. If they do nail down some great sauces w that pasta, they will have people lining up. We ended with cappuccinos and tiramisu - both awesome. Beautiful restaurant worth trying. Make note they do allow for reservations thru Resy and don’t expect your traditional American-ized menu. They are doing their own creative thing, which we appreciated. Great place.”

“Michele and her team did a fantastic job with the food for a large family barbecue. Michele was very helpful in guiding me to the best choices. I really appreciated her input as I was unsure about portions and food combinations. Everything arrived at my house well packaged and ready to be put out. We will definitely be coming back.”

“Well maintained, clean, is a newer station. While more expensive then othe brands of gas, I have found the best overall performance for my Z from the V Power. Really! It sounds corny I know but is true in my case.”

“Only has 87 Regular gas. $4.49/gallon was higher than gas near the highway but my car's gas was almost empty. No credit card machine at the pumps outside so customers have to go inside. When you give a $ amount, you have to stop the amount you tell the cashier by yourself. Cashier Jenah said it doesn't stop automatically. At least Jenah was friendly and 🔥”

“If I could give them a higher score I would. The food is fantastic and it's at a great price! But that's just the start. This family-run shop is extremely friendly! We got to meet Craig himself as well as his wife and daughters and son. Myself, my fiancee, and my cousin drove 5 hours from NH just to try this place and the experience was more than worth it! Might even make this a yearly trip! Thank you guys for such a good time! If anyone who is reading this is unsure about this place, take this as your call. This is absolutely the place to visit. I can guarantee you'll become a regular!”

“Our first time to visit Boulangerie. So we bought all sorts of things to taste. The broccoli quiche is excellent. The peach and cinnamon muffin better than homemade. Having just returned from Paris I can attest to the croissant and baguette having authentic Parisian quality and taste. Exceptional!”

“I am so glad there is now a Batson River in our backyard! As a fan of the other two locations (Kennebunk and Portland), this was a very pleasant surprise. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you are hit with Batson’s “image”… class, eloquence, rustic, charm, MAINE. The building is laced with decor (from the outside in) that makes you feel like you’re at your family cabin in northern Maine… this is a refreshing change from the coastal niche that embodies most Wells establishments. Everywhere you look there is something new to discover; from the starlit ceiling above the bar, to the gorgeous hand laid fireplace… there really was no attention to detail that was missed when decorating this establishment. The menu is somewhat limited, but in a good way. Each option has a tasteful twist on a classic dish (e.g. poutine with IPA gravy, jalapeños, and topped with crisp onion strings); and wish options like burgers & pizza, there truly is something for everyone on the menu. On this one occasion, my husband & I shared two appetizers & a dessert. The mussels were marinating in a delicious wine-based red sauce and were the largest & tastiest mollusks I’ve ever enjoyed. The poutine was comforting with a kick and the gravy left me wanting to lick the bowl clean! We finished our meal with the blueberry compote served warm in the skillet and topped with melting vanilla ice cream. There are a lot of blueberry dessert options in Maine, but this was one of the best. Lastly, Batson is known for their unique, fresh, creative cocktails using their very own spirits and house brewed beers. The drink menu offered refreshing options for summer & there were draft beer options. They also offer mock tails & 2 craft nonalcoholic beers! The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Sam was our waitress and she was knowledgeable, peppy and seemed to thoroughly enjoy being a part of the team. The bartenders were efficient, speedy and made even our sprite and NA beer look “important” with their drink ware and garnishes. This place is a home run… this is exactly what was needed in Wells. So grateful to have a cozy, delicious and welcoming place to hang out… all year round!”

“This hotel is a gem. The owners are really friendly and nice, the grounds are beautiful and tranquil. The restaurant food is really great. We went to the Deck at Dockside bar one afternoon, which was lively and fun, again with beautiful views. It was so lovely having breakfast on the main house porch. There is a lot of bird life to watch as well as harbor activity. Bring your binoculars!”
