“Two years ago, we first stepped into this restaurant when it was known as Maine St. Steak & Oyster under different ownership. We loved it so much back then that when we found out it was sold and turned into Maine St. Bistro we had to come back and check it out — and I’m so glad we did. Maine St. Bistro gave us an unforgettable dinner experience from the moment we stepped inside. The restaurant is quaint, cozy, and fancy, but not pretentious. It’s quite welcoming. The service was top-notch; our waiter was not only friendly but also attentive. While the menu wasn't extensive, it offered a nice variety – during our visit, it ranged from seafood and pork to chicken and risotto. We started with the baked brie and beef tartare and both were delicious. The brie came with these yummy raisins that were to die for. For two people, it was the perfect appetizer. However, I do wish they hadn’t used the same crostinis for both apps. For our entrees we had the MSB Burger and the fall risotto. The burger was juicy and my partner couldn’t get enough of it. I enjoyed my fall risotto. The presentation was beautiful. My only wish was that the portion had been a bit more generous, especially considering the $26 price tag. To accompany our dinner, we selected a bottle of Argentinian Malbec, and I was happy to see that not all the wine options were astronomically expensive. All in all, an amazing dining experience in Brunswick and we cannot wait to return!”

“Stopped in for a beer while en-route from Presque Isle to Bangor. What an awesome place. They had some good beers on tap, and some local characters that made for outstanding entertainment. The owners (Chris and his wife) were great to talk to. They stepped out on a limb w this venture, they got guts. If I ever get back up there I'll stop in again and have a few beers and maybe even get a room for the night. Pro-Tip: Pat doesn't like to be addressed as Sir, so make sure and do it as often as you can, just to get a rise out of him.”

“I went for lunch here on a Monday afternoon. It was my first visit here. While I was waiting, I ordered a taro boba tea. Upon first sipping the tea, it tasted good, but it had the weirdest aftertaste! I apologized and asked for a different flavor, coconut. Again, it tasted good at first, but had a weird medicinal/cleaning fluid flavored aftertaste, but I didn't ask for another one. I had the drunken noodle lunch with salad. Portion sizes were pretty good for lunch, at $12. The salad looked decent and tasted just okay. It had a fried dumpling on top, that was cold and hard. It tasted like bottled yum yum sauce on top, and it was mostly iceberg lettuce. The drunken noodle was decent and tasted pretty good, although it was much spicier than I asked for, which was level one. In my bag, there were no napkins and no silverware and no other sauces. I may visit this restaurant again, as I love Thai food, and would try something else next time.”

They have such a great variety of cold sandwiches, baked goods, pizza, and appetizers. My favorite was the sausage pizza and their blush vinaigrette salads. They even serve a hot dog on a brioche bun, which was delicious. We kept coming back throughout our trip to enjoy wine(&beer) on the patio to watch the boats and say hi to the locals walking past. They have a vegan selection as well for those with allergies or preference. The prices were very reasonable but make sure you make time to go as there is usually a line to purchase something. They have beverages, clothing and other souvenirs for purchase. Some tables available but get occupied pretty fast. There is a bathroom on premise as well for your convenience. The staff were all polite. Even at the last minute when staff is ready to close up were still polite and ensured all waiting customers were served. Now that's awesome service. It's on the strip and lots to do around but make sure you leave some time to hit his place up. You won't regret it!”
