“This food is really, really good. The vegetarian options are amazing. This restaurant just opened and has a small menu to begin but I found that there was more than enough choices. Tofu skin salad, vegetarian dumplings and cold sesame noodles were our favorites.”

“Best Hmong food in Madison! I always get egg rolls, fresh spring rolls and the roasted chicken leg quarter with sticky rice and a spicy chili oil that is so soo good! Many other authentic options to try, 100% recommend to check this out if you are at the Global Food market!”

“A very fine update of the legendary Roxbury Tavern. Bigger bar and lots of patio seating. Friendly staff and great thin crust pizza. Fun goats in the area out back. Loved seeing the old bar reused in the space. Fun place to visit!”

“I don’t live around here anymore, but when I’m in town visiting my family, grabbing a coffee & an enormous cinnamon roll for breakfast (or a pizza & beer for lunch) at The Mazo Grind is a must! Everything is made fresh right there. Even the bread! I also really appreciate all of the milk alternatives and vegan/vegetarian options. There’s even a bunch of gluten-free options for those who are so inclined! And of course, the staff is super friendly and helpful. One thing to mention: They’re quite possibly the only coffee shop within a 50-mile radius that has a drive-thru, which sets them apart. So if you’re heading down Route 14 and need a caffeine boost, this is the place!”

“I love this place. I have visited it twice - once at the end of winter and once sometime in June. I think their fish and chips is one of the best in town. Even on a casual weekday, their haddock is better than most other Friday Fish Fry specials. The wait staff is very polite and nice. If you get a seat near the windows, you can admire the Capitol as well.”

“Best restaurant in Madison! A longtime favorite of mine, Nick's Restaurant and Lounge is the most comforting place for a Madison resident to wind down with a good sandwich, a slice of pie, and a drink after a long day. The chicken filet sandwich with fries is awesome and will always be my favorite!”

“I have been here numerous times. The service has always been above 5 stars. The food has always been amazing. Unfortunately, my friend, who had never been there before and I had bad service. We had a reservation at 8.30pm. We waited until 9pm and were told we would have to wait maybe another 10-20 minutes longer. The manager approached us and over heard us speaking about just eating in the bar!?!? For a 200 meal! He said well good. While we were at the bar, we were pretty much ignored. I was excited to have a her experience Rare, but neither of us will go back. It is a shame customer service is dead. The tartar came with a weird rice paper and was super spicy. The fillet was very good. The Brussel spouts were not so good. I did not order a drink or dessert like I normally do as I did not want to spend the money. I would have gone some where else, but it was 9pm.... this was bad management and poor customer service. At the price of the dinner you except more and a good experience. It was just plain disappointing after my other experiences there. For further reference, I have been a waiter and now a business owner. It's hard, put a smile on your face, apologize, offer a dessert, something. Step it up!”

“Just woke up, craving breakfast, and feeling lazy. Wilson's was the first thing that popped into my head. Only been there a couple of times, but the prime rib breakfast is great. Even better than my next favorite, the Scrambler (with corned beef) at Mickey's Dairy Bar. I guess Wilson's only does the breakfast on Sundays now. Hope they still do the prime rib breakfast. I thought it was always a Saturday morning when I went, but I haven't been out to eat anywhere since COVID hit. Memory maybe not as good, so I don't know. Might go tomorrow, especially if they have the prime rib breakfast. Last time I was there, I also got to see a Badger basketball game with my great breakfast. Just wish I lived closer! Always treated very well by the staff, too!!! 5+ stars!!!!!!!!”

“Opened beginning of July and we checked it out on a weeknight. Great vibe at the bar and patio seating was nice. We had a few cocktails and appetizers here, and both were great! The blind shot mule beer cocktail is definitely a summer hit! Service was great with good recommendations for drinks and food. Seems like it definitely has the potential to be a go-to spot for us.”

“Had to give the place a try even though I was already really full from all the other food. First time I tried Birria and it was delicious. The owner was a nice guy too. Will have to come on an empty stomach next time.”

“This place is great: family owned with very authentic Mexican food and tons of options. We had tons of delicious tacos, and our favorite was the chorizo (pictured). If you're looking for incredible authentic Mexican tacos in Madison, La Bonita has to be on the top of your list!”

“I had an absolutely lovely experience at the Madison Marquette Cafe! All my food and drinks were incredibly reasonably priced, and I loved the open atmosphere. Not to mention the incredible customer service! I had a lovely chat with the cafe barista, and the food tasted like it was made by Gordon Ramsey himself. I would highly recommend this hidden gem of Madison to anyone I know!”

“The ambiance and vibe in Taco Local was hip & relaxed. We were comfortable even though the restaurant was busy. Our server Ben was super attentive and helpful. His level of professionalism and humor was terrific. The food was beyond delicious. Pork tacos were our favorite. Everything the table ordered was excellent and the drinks were just a good. A little on the strong side. Which was perfect. Nice addition to Willy Street and Madison.”

“This place is so cute! There are tons of tables, outlets at nearly every table, and it is filled with natural light. It's the perfect spot to come and get some work done or settle in with a cup of coffee and a good book! There is a nice level of noise - not too quiet, but not so loud that you can't concentrate. Not to mention the coffee is excellent. I would highly recommend!”

“What a neat place! Monona Bank has done right by the community restoring their historic building. The Rotunda Cafe occupies the majority of the extra large lobby, with plenty of space to spread out. The friendly staff serves tasty local coffee and has a good looking good menu that I haven't tried yet - but I'll be going back to change that!”
