Items Reviewed: Their “Luther” Triple Smash Burger (with 3 smash patties, caramelized onions, & cheese on a donut bun $17.95). LIKE THAT!! That sweet donut bun, & juicy burgers…YES!! Their Classic Smash Burger (a double smash patty with cheese, & caramelized onions on a brioche bun $11.95). LIKE THAT!! Cheesy, & flavorful with those onions!! Their Brisket Sandwich (with smoked brisket, & a chipotle peach bbq sauce on a brioche bun $15.95). DECENT. Meaty, but a tad bit dry. STAMP that peach bbq sauce though!! Their Smoked Ribs (1 lb of pork ribs with chipotle peach bbq sauce on top $19.95). STAMP!! They fell off the bone, with that peach bbq sauce…WINNING!! Their Creamy Mac n Cheese ($8). DECENT. Edible, I just needed some flair to this. Their Hand Cut Fries (salt n peppered $6). STAMP!! Well seasoned, hand cut, tasty at home in the air fryer!! Their Smoked Wings (3 whole smoked wings with peach mumbo sauce $10). STAMP!! Smoked THEN fried!! No sauce needed!! Their Brisket Philly Cheesesteak (with the caramelized onions, & a cheese sauce on a hoagie roll $16.95). LIKE THAT!! The cheese sauce moistened this sandwich up! Brisket & a flavored cheese in every bite!! Their Peach Poundcake French Toast (a fried Poundcake in the shape of French Toast with peach fruit & drizzle $7). STAMP!! GET THIS!! WOW!! “I had the crazy crab bag with crab legs, shrimp, corn and potato. I loved it. Sauce was bomb especially the bmore blend. My crab legs was fresh and corn was amazing. “I was lucky to try San Pancho for their soft opening and really enjoyed the food and drinks. I ordered the super vegetarian burrito with vegan chorizo and a passion fruit frozen margarita, my partner ordered a regular burrito with carnitas and a side of fries. All the food was high quality and well prepared! I also thought their veggie and vegan options were solid. The menu does lean toward the more expensive end, with the price point ranging from about $14 to $19 for a burrito, which may make it inaccessible for some people. But, the team has done an amazing job refreshing the old Cielo Rojo space and adding something new to the Takoma Park food scene. I have no doubt there will be a long line for this place once it officially opens!”

“I discovered this food truck about a month ago and since then it’s become my new favorite local spot. When I moved here in 2015 it was hard to find authentic Mexican food and still is in my opinion until Don pancho opened up! The tacos and tortas and everything taste amazing and very authentic. I’m pretty sure they make their own tortillas and that in itself is worth checking out. Don’t play yourself and stop by to check them out. Parking, service and everything else is amazing. You can call in or just stop by, they normally have food ready very fast.”

“Jul 2024 ==> Another visit with friends. This time we focused more on the food. The mushroom soup was just as good as the first time, although saltier than it should have been. The Drunken Chicken special was just average and was smaller than the other items. They made up for it by giving you a mountain of french fries. The Shrimp bowl and the beet salads with falafel were really good. The place was much busier that our earlier visit which did highlight a problem. There are high ceilings and no sound insulation so the noise level was uncomfortable loud. We were in a corner so we could hear each other, but I cannot imagine how those in the center of the eating space could converse? Management should really consider adding some sound deadening materials to the ceiling. =============================== Feb 2024 ==> Had the opportunity to taste the rums and the food at the newly opened distillery and restaurant in Upper St. Clair recently with a group of friends. Learned about it from a news article and decided to give it a try. We made reservations and when we got there found our table all waiting for us. For the rums, they offer a flight for $10. This gives you a quarter ounce pour of each of ten different products that they make. I highly recommend you take advantage of this as it gives you a good overview of their range. They also offer a range of mixed drinks featuring their products and several of us took advantage of that as well. Make sure to ask for any off-menu specials! During our visit, there was a Hot Buttered Rum that was fantastic -but not on the menu!!! They also offer a complete food menu. We really liked the very creamy and rich Mushroom soup. The Farm Burger featured a bacon jam made with their rum, and the Mac and Cheese was also flavorful. Other dishes that went over well included the Chicken sandwich and the cheese plate. The fries that came with some were good but overly salty. Staff was excellent: Welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Distillery tours are slated to begin sometime in Feb 2024. We left with very satisfied palates and full tummies!”
