“My daughter attended her junior prom at this venue. The setup was beautiful. They used different rooms for the various activities they had planned for the night. They also used the front seating cafe area for water and snacks and as a quiet space for those with sensory issues. Service was also excellent: food was prepared in the time it took me to pour a beverage, all staff was friendly. Only downside was dirty restroom, with broken, loose toilet seat and messy floor. If they put in a sound system / DJ booth and dance floor area, " nothing fancy is needed," and there is room so why not take this place to it's full potential?? “Freddy’s are all over FL so I was happy to spot one in grimes as I was driving by. Super fast service. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was delicious. My other party had a Steakburger. The fry seasoning and sauce are phenomenal. I had to get both to take home. My other party wanted a turtle sundae. Prices weren’t bad it was busy even after the lunch hour. Will stop again”

“Pizza tastes great consistently. Service is timely. Inside they know what they are doing vs sometimes seeing chaos at the Grimes Papa John’s location. “This establishment was Plaza Mexico about a decade ago, and it was THE BEST Mexican around - food, experience, and who remembers the complimentary ice cream pita with your check?! We'd kick off Tuesday night karaoke here often, even though we were going to a bar in Clive, and none of us lived in Johnston. Later they sold to someone else, and the name escapes me, but it wasn't the same experience. Today, I was feeling nostalgic and we had been tipped by a client to get lunch fir finishing early, and we were in the area. Turns out, it's changed ownership again. Looking at the menu, it's a fusion of American burgers and traditional Mexican dishes. Our server, Victor, was friendly and helpful. The food was to DIE FOR. Pico de Gallo is my favorite Mexican restaurant, the same location that held that title for so long for me. They've been open about 6 months - go show them some love, you won't regret it!!”

The main seating area is separate from the games so if you wanted to sit and chat with a group you are able to do so. They have some great outdoor seating out of the sun shortly after noon. The food was pretty good. Only had the Pocket burger, but based on the taste I am looking forward to coming back and trying more! Also had the Murderhorn and it was delicious! “This is the first time I've sat down for a meal here. I've been to this La Mie location twice before, but just got pastries to go. The line was kind of confusing on a busy Sunday morning. There were a bunch of people waiting for to-go orders so that made it more difficult to discern where to join the queue. If the line is long then you inevitably land in front of the pastry counter where you can choose your own croissants, tarts, etc. to be wrapped up before you wait in the same line to pay. Or, you can forgo the pastries and just order hot food at the main counter. You can also pick up some take-and-bakes along with other prepared foods. We decided to dine-in so they assigned us a table number. The food came out quickly! My Quiche Florentine was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! My boyfriend got a Southwestern Scramble that he also enjoyed. The coffee is decent here and the traditional pastries are always good. The macarons are hit or miss. But, the rest, is wonderful!”

Avocado Salsa was underwhelming, had a hint of avocado to it. Asada Tacos - delicious. Fresh ingredients and steak cooked perfectly. The shells were a little soft, almost undercooked feeling. Overall, great experience will definitely be back.”
