“The lovely gardens are such a beautiful and welcoming spot for breakfast and lunch on the weekends only. Deb makes a few items for breakfast, and a few for lunch. Much of her produce is grown in the garden, and she makes jams, pickles, etc. along with delicious baked goods. This is a very small local operation so seating is limited to 3-4 tables, but worth the wait if you have to. You can pay with Venmo which makes everything simple.”

“A great restaurant to visit. Be aware, if you are short on time they make everything to order. The food will take a bit, but I feel that the great food outweighs that.”

“The food is very flavorful here, but I found some dishes come across as too salty. I personally think the birria tacos have the right amount of salt but the consome is overloaded. The birria ramen is way too salty and not particularly good. However, the ceezy f fries are very good, if not just a tad salty. I think that the food here has the potential to be incredible with a little less salt.”

“I drive up not knowing what I wanted to eat. The man suggested the quesabirria tacos. I'm glad I ordered them. They are freaking delicious!! Pictured with 3 tacos but it comes with 4. Highly recommend! They reheat well and hold together. A good choice to take home and eat comfortably. just don't tip the box!! You'll spill all the cónsume/jugo.”

“The menu was pricier than expected, however the food was also better than expected. My family got the Victor's super burrito, the relleno burrito and my son got tacos. The super burrito is massive and definitely be split between 2 people. All items were pretty good. Improvement recommendations would be friendlier customer service and upkeep with the salsa/chip bar.”

“Delicious sandwiches! The line was to the door but it moved quickly. The staff was really friendly. If you’re in town and looking for an awesome sandwich, make a stop at Brown Bag Deli.”

“It was a mediocre experience. The store and parking lot were very antiquated and I do not believe the staff understands proper food handling procedures or cross contamination. I feel that I made a good decision by not purchasing any food products but I do feel bad for the customer in front of me in line who purchased the burritos... They have good fuel prices.”

“Just a short hop off the highway, but it feels like you are tucked into a cabin in the mountain forest. It is a favorite place to eat if we are ever in the area. It's peaceful looking at the beautiful mountains through the big sunny windows. Such a cozy & quaint restaurant, and the food was delicious. Waitstaff were super friendly, too. Our waitress has worked there 15 years. We ordered Sour Cream Enchilada Plate (green) and the Chili Relleno Plate. The tortilla chips & salsa tasted homemade, too! Everything was, "Yum!!!"”

“I love their pizzas! The crust is relatively thin and crispy, but not dry. Great choice of toppings. Customer service could be friendlier, but it’s never been bad. There is virtually no parking in front of the restaurant so, you’ll probably have to street park on Oregon Ave. and walk over to the restaurant. I recommend this location.”

“CASH ONLY RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. That said, get you some cash and make a reservation to eat at this literal down home, double wide manufactured house up a dusty hill beside a corral with horses. Reservations are required because they only use fresh ingredients with no waste. If you want fancy, high falutin, go somewhere else. But if you want damn good food in a warm and friendly place that the locals frequent, then this is your place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

“Great place! Staff was incredibly friendly, and that can really set the mood for the meal. The fried pickles, fried green chilis, loaded potato, salad, patty melt, quesadillas, and salsa were all amazing and the prices are all fair. Everything we had I would order again. Whether you are just passing through or here for a while, you won’t regret eating here.”

“Service: 3/5 - Maybe there was a consolidated trash dumpster but I didn't see it. I didn't ask since I only had a couple small bags so I took them with me. There was only one port-o-potty for the entire campground and it was so full, the mound was up to the seat. Fortunately, they had a bathroom in the front lobby/ cafe. There aren't any showers either. All sites are within spitting distance. One guy didn't have power at his hookups, but the owners were quick to move him to a different site, so that was good. Atmosphere 4/5 - They had a covered area for bands to play during an event, which also had a couple of benches and chairs. There was a basketball hoop on the front for kids to play, but there was no concrete. They did have some small items to buy in the cafe/store. Also, be sure to get gas in Carlsbad as there is NOTHING in the area. The trails were ok. Very moderate but is very scenic. They were VERY dusty during a UTV event so plan for that as well.”
