“My husband and I are from Louisiana, so we are always excited to try restaurants that taste like home. I ordered a cup of red beans - just to try - and MAN those were the best red beans I’ve had in a long time! My husband got the gumbo and it was really good as well! We also ordered the Catfish Atchafalya and Boom Boom shrimp poboy. They were both excellent. We didn’t care for the Devil on Horseback appetizer but that’s probably just our preference. I would go back for the red beans alone. Service and atmosphere were great! I hope you guys expand into Huntsville. I’m on the other side and it’s about 45 minutes for me to get to you in Madison.”

“This place is “Pho”nominal!!!!!!! Seriously-I have tried just about every Vietnamese restaurant in Madison and Huntsville and this place is now my #1. All the meat what perfectly cooked with no fat strips. The spices were spot on! I ordered an Egg Coffee - the AMAZING waiter mentioned the coffee is premium and slow drip. This was one of the BEST coffees I have had. I loved the taste and the presentation was very detailed. Something you will experience here and no where else is that every person working there is supporting and teaming with each other. There is a great deal of care towards the customer and the food. WOW!!!!! This is a must try and we will be back frequently!!!”

“OUR NEW FAVORITE FOREST PARK RESTAURANT:THE PINK HOUSE We got lucky tonight. They were serving our favorite dish the FARRO SUCCOTASH with squash, zucchini, roasted red pepper, hazelnuts, mushrooms. Brussel sprouts, spinach, green bell peppers, pulled chicken, and secret spices. We also had there famous caramel flan. The Pink House salad and the Chicken and avocado salads are to die for. They have a large selection of wonderful panini pressed sandwiches. We love the Pink House which is located next to the old V Richards parking lot. It is a small restaurant with a bar and eight tables. The food is healthy elegant and delicious. They have amazingly fresh and tasty vegetables . We especially have enjoyed their beet salads and mixed greens. My wife recently had a stuffed avocado which was divine. I love their rosemary pork. They are open for dinner and lunch. The prices are reasonable. You must bring your own wine since they don't have a liquor license yet. They do have take out and a wonderful Sunday brunch. The service is friendly and quick. Don't miss this emerging miracle.”

“The Baklava was freshly baked in-house and served with a rose (the flower) syrup ... it was excellent. Lamb Souvlaki Plate was the best! The lamb was cooked to my request of medium rare ... it was tender and flavourful. The side salad ingredients were fresh and chilled. Pita Bread was soft and warm. The Rice Pilaf was perfectly cooked. Courteous and quick service. The restaurant was very clean and orderly. The dishware and cutlery were simple in style and clean. The posted Jefferson County Restaurant Score was 98, which is very good. Highly recommend.”

We asked the gentleman behind the counter if it would be an inconvenience for us to order so close to closing. He was very polite and helpful and graciously took our order for our sandwiches. “Noticed this place opened up recently and being an afficionado of Mexican food, I decided to check it out. I was greeted politely when I entered. The menu has a large variety of food, and the music is great. There's also a nice selection of drinks and they have the capability to make anything else you request. I ordered an appetizer for my colleague and me of a large cheese sticks. It was pretty hefty... $10 for 9 mozzarella sticks that seemed to have been microwaved with a side of ranch. We waited about 15-20 minutes for the mozzarella sticks. I would have liked a side of marinara rather than ranch. I also ordered an al pastor street taco plate for approximately $12 to go. When I opened the box, each taco was individually wrapped, but a lot of the meat + garnish had spilled. It didn't help that there weren't any napkins provided, and I received silverware (for tacos). The combination of red and green chili sauce with the al pastor was quite tasty. The meal had a side of salsa plus chips. I wanted to like this place so if I give it another try, I'd like to come back for the drinks.”

Amazing quantity for the price, don’t know how they make money! And the taste? Go find out for yourself cause I ain’t got the words.
