“As soon as we walked in a tall gentleman helped us right away. Gave us instructions on how to order and had us pick drinks. My elderly father needed to use the restroom and both gentleman working were quick to tell us where the restrooms are and both of them were polite and kind. Appreciated that!!! We ordered our food and the brisket was delicious. It wasn't dry. And the BBQ sauce on the table was good. The potato salad and macaroni and cheese was delicious. I'd go again if I was in the area. My father had the turkey and he wished he had an order to go and talked about how good the food was the next day. He's extremely picky so it says a lot when he can't stop talking about the food. 😊”

“Delicious chorizo breakfast burrito and shredded beef torta! Located in vacant lot next to Piccolino, lots of parking spaces. They were very friendly and service was quick. Came on a recommendation from a friend and also was featured in The Santa Fe New Mexican. Couldn’t believe they weren’t on Google so created a listing for them :) nowhere to eat so took it to go.”

“Passing thru on a camping trip we found this place online. Didn’t expect much but we were astounded at how fabulous Pecos is. They probably have the best chef in the world here because our meals were perfectly flavored and prepared and we are very familiar with fine dining. The house wines are delicious. And the wait staff is attentive and friendly. Ari waited on us and we couldn’t have been treated better. Apparently the locals know how great Pecos is because it was packed. Things get even better after you’ve had one of their fine meals if you stay for the musical entertainment.”

“Delicious food and a nice clean building. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. The building appears to be new or recently renovated. They offer a big menu and do have a kids menu. We had the enchiladas, pork Verde and the kids taco plate. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely go back! Great new addition to Carlsbad.”

“Great little place to grab some delicious food in Ruidoso! Love the character it has and the patio is so nice especially when there is good warm weather. The employees are amazing, very friendly, and will go over all their menu items. The Famous Buttermilk Pie is a must so rich and tasty. 10/10 recommend to stop by!”

“This may be the best hidden gem of a restaurant I have visited in years. Nestled in a little clutter of shops Comal stands out with wonderful food and an even more inviting staff. It is well worth stopping in for a meal.”

“This is my FAVORITE watering hole in Ruidoso. Not only are the owners absolutely good people, friendly, and attentive but the atmosphere is very relaxing. They offer a good selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. There’s plenty of sitting that includes tables and chairs as well as sofas. They also have a room in the back with a video game console that plays old Sega games and has comfy sofas that can accommodate a whole family. The kids love it! It’s kid friendly so it’s perfect for the entire family. It is clean, comfortable and inviting. They have outside sitting also. My favorite drinks here are their Hot Toddies when it’s cold outside, and the Bloody Mary the rest of the days! The owner can make some killer Bloody Mary’s! This place is a MUST TRY in Ruidoso. You won’t regret it!”

“The tacos de carne asada (four small street tacos) were good. The carne was good, but not much flavor. The salsa roja has good spice, but not much flavor. The salsa verde is good, but not much spice. Small serving for $15.”

“They tasted delicious and the service was great! We were done skiing and starving so we wanted something fast and to go! These noodles did not disappoint! The flavor of both the chicken and noodles was excellent, also very filling. The water is a must try too!”

“We got a roasted corn on the cob and an Elote de Vaso. I got the Elote de Vaso with the works. The lime went well with the Chile, and the butter and mayonnaise gave a creamier texture.”

“I loved this place. It’s more of a bar but it’s family friendly during the day. The service was great, they took our order and gave us our drinks quickly. We did wait a bit for the food to come out but it did not disappoint. I ordered the House Salad and Buffalo wings. Both were very tasty. My sister ordered the chicken tender sandwich and pepperoni pizza and said it was also very good. The best part of downshift brewery was their beer selection. Snowday was citrusy and fresh and their beer flights were so much fun!”

“Super cute atmosphere! Very calming and welcoming. It’s a small spot but just what you need for delicious and healthy fresh food! The staff was very friendly and attentive! We had a rice bowl with teriyaki chicken , the sushi was super fresh and the gyozas are mouthwatering! You can tell everything was prepared fresh!”

“Found this place by accident. I had researched it and knew it was in Ruidoso but it’s in a little hidden compartment building. The restaurant has in and out vibes. It’s busy, limited seating, but friendly Burger wasn’t bad. I could still think of a better burger but it was tasty. Square patty like Wendy’s and bread was soft. Flavor was there. Onion rings are made in house. Tasted great. Bottle caps (fried jalapeños) were good.”

“3.5 stars. There’s not that many places open late in Ruidoso so if you’re looking to have some fun with friends after 9pm, you’re options are small. If you’re looking for some country dancing, kareoke, or just a place to have some beers this is one of your options. It’s usually pretty busy during the weekends especially if it’s tourist season. If country music ain’t your thing, they do have a jukebox (AMI) you can play music on and you can also download an app for it, similar to TouchTunes. This place is your typical local bar, it’s casual, nothing fancy. It has two pool tables, some arcade games, a patio, a dance floor and plenty of seating. They do have live music on certain days, check their Facebook page or other social media to get that info. They check for ID at the door at night. They do have a kitchen that serves food during the day.”

“Grungy pizza place in the heart of Ruidoso. The Portuguese kale soup was phenomenal – it even had a little kick. The pizza was also delicious & the perfect size for 1-2 people. We customized ours. We also had local sodas that were pretty tasty. If you’re ordering or dining in, call HOURS ahead – or go in person to jot your name down. Actually, just go in person. They get really busy (but I can see why)!”

“Made a return trip for the porkchops- delicious and tender. The Cinnamon French Toast was just as good. Will definitely plan a return visit. We never had to ask for coffee refills, and a very intimidating visitor randomly showed up. It was a good breakfast.”

“It is now called TRUCK CENTER (it is a food truck place) The place is amazing and the food was delicious: I wanted to try the BBQ nachos and the burger Wow soo good .... For desert , Destiny prepared a double shoot espresso late with butterscotch flavor...sooo good. It is the BEST customer service I have gotten in all the years I've been going to Ruidoso. They just need the live music....which I think on Sat they might have something. A must go in Ruidoso. Ohh and it closed at 10pm🤩”

“I’m from Arkansas and can’t find good BBQ and queso. The nachos were phenomenal. My husband had a two meat plate with brisket and sausage along with corn and beans. Everything had amazing flavor and seasoning. Customer service was great!!”

“Really glad that they are now open in Eldorado. We are not exactly taco fans, so it’s great that they offer a quite diverse selection. I’ve never had Birria, therefore I tried their Ramen Birria which came with two Quesabirria. It was very tasty, satisfying and fulfilling. My companion had Cheese Quesadilla and Caesar salad with steak. Both were very nice. The only issue was the plastic fork and knife were just not strong enough for the steak. The people who worked there were all very warm and friendly. We always appreciate that. Some of the items on their menu seem creative. I’m looking forward to trying them next time.”

“My family and I have been to this restaurant several times now and it has been delicious each time! It is located in the Rainmakers Golf Resort Clubhouse and has an amazing view of the course and the surrounding mountains and the inside is welcoming and lovely. We had brunch the first visit and the food was fantastic and the waiter was super friendly and had great recommendations. Our second and third times were for dinner and we tried special menu items and regular menu items, and again the staff here were pleasant, attentive and Chef Mashon has visited our table each visit and is such a lovely person! Brunch is great! Fluffiest omelet I've ever had in my life, perfect lemon ricotta pancakes and a savory chicken & waffle dish. We enjoyed the pho a few weeks ago and last week we tried the Tom Kha, the special salmon dish, truffle-parm-mac & cheese and the pork dish...all delicious!! This is the first place we've been to since moving here a year ago that has actually used salt and spices in the food!!! Most restaurants around town are quite bland, y'all know what I'm talking about. We will continue to frequent this restaurant to try more of Chef Mashon's wonderful menu items.”
