“Stopped by on a large stretch of road for something to eat and was not disappointed. The pizza comes in 16" for cheese with a per topping price tier. The crust had a butter garlic glaze and the green chili was absolutely a great toping to add. Definitely worth it. The people here are super friendly (both staff and local patrons) and the atmosphere has plenty to offer and so for if you're looking for souvenirs. Definitely looking to make this a regular stop.”

“Great burger joint with delicious sides! The sweet tea was great! Visited on a busy Wednesday night had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but was seated promptly in their indoor/outdoor area, which was so nice with the summer breeze flowing in! We waited a long while to get to order our food, & also for our food to actually come, but good food takes a while to prepare! The mozzarella sticks with marinara was DELICIOUS! The mozzarella sticks were very stretchy & not too much batter on them. I suggest waiting a minute for them to cool down so you can dip them! Overall, great dinner stop!”

The onion rings were not as we are normally used to seeing, but were really good. The only thing I am sorry about is that Wahlburgers only has this one location in New Mexico.”

“I had a craving for a steak and baked potato, and this place really hit the spot. We order the bacon wrapped chicken livers. They where okay but a little over cooked. I ordered the 6oz fillet and my wife ordered the coconut shrimp. The waiter also talked me into trying the green chili cream corn. My wife's shrimp where huge and delicious. I ordered my steak rare and it came out perfect. Honestly one of the best steaks I have had in recent memory. The baked potato was also perfect. The skin was nice and seasoned with a little crispness to it. The cream corn was too spicy for my wife and son but they where perfect for me. A nice balance of sweetness and spice. I had a really great experience overall. Had the liver not been burnt I would have given them a perfect score. Will definitely go back if we are ever in town again.”

Casa Blanca

Address: 501 Mechem Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345, USA

Restaurant

“I was really excited to go here with my wife to celebrate Mothers Day. It was ok. We were treated to a mess at the entrance. There were papers napkins blown about. There were also some amazing flowers growing outside. See the photos of that area. The food would have received 5 stars except the appetizer was flat. We had the fried green chili. It was crisp and tasty but had zero heat. In fact, nothing ordered had any heat. Even the free chips and salsa had no heat. No it does not have to burn but at least a little heat would have made it better. Not a bad place by any stretch but my wife who's very sensitive to heat even wanted something. Our waiter only came by 3 times and we had to get someone else to fill my wife's water cup. We also received a lecturer on they do not add lemon slices to the water unless asked after asking for a slice of lime. The food was good but a little flat. It came out quickly and did taste good. Overall the place was fine and the food fine, just not for us.”

Rio Grande Grill and Tap Room

Address: 441 Mechem Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345, USA

Restaurant

“Made it out to Rio Grande to try out their wings and other things, we've been hearing good reviews from others. We were not disappointed!! The parking looks bad from the street but there's some behind the building. We ordered wings, spinach artichoke dip, fish & chips and finished it off w a carrot cake. Also ordered drinks; root beer and the hard tea. The wings were fantastic! Perfectly crispy and not too saucy. We ordered 2 orders of 6 so we could try both the spicy boq and the honey sriracha sauces. They were not too spicy or too sweet, a very good blend of the flavors. The carrot cake was devine!! The best cake we have had in Ruidoso so far! Our server actually recommended the cake to us and I'm very glad he did! The spinach artichoke dip was okay, I wouldn't order it again. It was a little too cheesy and more spinach than artichoke and was lacking flavor. The fish & chips were alright, again I wouldn't order them a second time. A little too much batter on the fish and the tartar sauce was bland and the coleslaw was watery. The chips were perfect though!! Best fry I've had around Ruidoso so far! The root beer was delicious and their hard tea was pretty good, we were offered a chance to buy some to-go which was cool. The restaurant is really cozy too, all wood and warmth, and the tables are located upstairs. That was nice bc you can be away from the bar area to enjoy your meal w a more restaurant feel upstairs. Definitely recommend and we look forward to going back to try some burgers and steak!”

Schlotzsky's

Address: 2812 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“I'm willing to give restaurants a second chance to see if they can improve. We went for lunch, and I ordered my turkey bacon club on jalapeño bread with extra bacon with jalapeño chips and a large drink, and we ordered everyone else's food of a turkey bacon on sourdough,a french dip and a turkey club on sourdough all with chips and a large drink. This time, our order was correct, which was nice, and they even had a decent amount of costumers, so for it to be correct made me really happy. I even noticed this time that to go, orders were getting ready before the customer even came in. I was very pleased, so whatever they were doing or if the manager was there they should keep up that kind of service of all the time,it was nice and we will be back again 😀”

The Ranchers Steak and Seafood Restaraunt

Address: 2823 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345, USA

Restaurant

“We dined here tonight and had a wonderful meal and wonderful server, Francisco. My French Dip sandwich was awesome and one of the very best. The prime rib was tender and very tasty. The roll used was just enough bread and not overwhelming. The side of Tobacco onion strings were delicious and enough to share with my husband. We will certainly be back. Two meals there this week have convinced us.”

We wanted to go back the next day, but they were closed. Next time.”

Flying J Ranch

Address: 1028 NM-48, Alto, NM 88312, USA

Restaurant

“Hands down one of THE BEST family nights we’ve ever had. We went to their holiday hoedown and what a time was had by all! We enjoyed the hayride around the property where we got to see all the Christmas decor and lights. It ran pretty frequently and it was unlimited rides. They have an adorable souvenir shop that sells s’mores kits for cheap… Make sure to get those early because they will sell out! They also have a live fire pit where you can roast your marshmallows and make your s’mores. They have cute store fronts for nice photo-ops and also an area where Santa was to visit with the children. They have a pre-dinner show at the beautiful chapel with a very talented cast. The chapel was heated and comfy during the cold winter days. The main attraction was the chuckwagon dinner fit for a cowboy! Absolutely delicious- not one thing was bad and there was PLENTY to go around - loved making the line for dinner service and sitting with complete strangers enjoying a hearty meal. The after dinner shower was extremely entertaining and my kids loved it! Truly an experience of a time long gone by that anyone will enjoy. Cannot recommend it more! We will definitely be back. The whole family is so talented as well as the rest of the musicians. A true 10/10 experience.”
