“I can say this place definitely does serve Hawai'ian-style poké, as I was in Hawai'i for two weeks prior to trying it out. Their fish is fresh and flavorful! Lots of choices to make your own poké bowl. They even serve the same style drinks as Hawai'ian pokè places, which gives it a more authentic feel. For me, I'd have loved for some Hawai'ian music to be playing on the radio to complete the mood! Either way, we will be back for sure. Check this place out the next time you're in town!”

“New little boba shop in the Fairfax area. Tried the Jasmine milk tea with boba for my visit. The boba was chewy and tasted just right. “This Parisian themed breakfast/ lunch restaurant/bakery has a quirky ordering system, but once you figure it out and get used to it, the line you have to stand in to place your order goes pretty quickly, even during breakfast rush hour. The breakfast food among the 6 of us got an “average” rating, nothing to write home about! The bottle neck created by the line and the quirky ordering system is very uncomfortable to navigate, and even stretches into the dining area, with people in line bumping up against your chair while you’re eating. The prices for a breakfast plate were high, but the real price gouging is in the bakery items, absolutely ridiculous and greedy. I won’t be going back for these reasons.”

“We happened to see a positive review of this place and discovered that we are just around the corner and we didn’t even know it existed! We stopped by one day and tried two of the different style of grits they had. I got the shrimp and grits and it did not disappoint! It was very tasty, although I would gladly pay for a larger portion size (the size was a bit small). The iced coffee was good too! Just note that they are a daytime cafe only - and closed on weekends. They probably mostly serve the surrounding office buildings for lunches but it’s a great little uncrowded spot and a convenient location with good food so definitely checking it out! Good to do work if you want a quiet spot - it’s nice and clean with plenty of tables. And when the weather gets nice, there is a good outdoor seating area as well.”

“My Cafe, reopening after covid, has limited hours and menu. However, the current menu does include a pretty good selection of meat or vegetarian panini sandwiches. I have tried both the eggplant panini and the portabella mushroom panini (the latter shown in pic), and both are outstanding! The chipotle mayo brings a nice little kick to the taste. My Cafe is not fancy, but it is very clean and they have outdoor seating too. So if you work close by, and want to try something other than Wegmans for a quick lunch within walking distance, I recommend giving this small local business a try!”

“This place is rad and has a bunch of really cool baristas who are always ready to rock and know my order! They work hard and have even taken measures against local social issues like ensuring there are safe containers in the bathrooms for unfortunate choices others make turn to, providing space for people still doing WFH but struggling with wifi costs, and just make everything genuinely welcoming while clearly having a good time. The only bad part has nothing to do with the store or employees but rather some of their more entitled customers who like to just cause a ruckus. This is a direct call out to: the guy who is complaining about the lids and his inability to sip out of a cup without spilling on himself that gave a one star for this store as if this isnt a giant chain - that day where you came in yelling at the baristas was SO uncalled for. Maybe consider contacting corporate directly instead of aggressively harassing hourly employees about paying for your shirt my dude, the rest of us wanted to just have our coffee in the cafe in peace and the only issue here was your struggle to to sip out of the (double cupped) cup and not spill the drink on yourself. ✌️”
