“Great for what small place, passing through and saw this place which appeared to be decorated to fit its place. Staffing was adequate as expected with a smaller place with 8 to 10 four chair tables and a small sit at countertop with about 5 to 6 seats. It appeared like a lot of take out was happening at the same time we were there with almost full occupancy restaurant. Did not really disappoint even with the dessert. We were there for dinner and not for breakfast or lunch so cannot comment on this. 5 star no but a mid-4. 4 if us ate around 40 dollars with tip.”

“Muddy Creek Café offers sandwiches, sides, and cold drinks in the middle of Old Salem. It is centrally located and is a great place to find food to tide you over, rest a bit, and help replenish your energy as you explore the Old Salem Museums and Gardens. There is even coffee if you need a pick-me-up! They have outside seating as well, under the shade of umbrellas.”

“This quaint little dinner is a fantastic new addition to Winston-Salem. Almost everything is homemade- coleslaw, chili, pulled pork, fried chicken, you name it! They have great daily specials that include the sides and drink (which is a steal) and the owner and his wife are always around to check in with you about your food and your experience. I also think that they have BY FAR the best pancakes in all of Winston-Salem, and their breakfast prices (rather, all their prices) are great for anyone's budget. They have free wifi, and make a really tasty sweet tea too. My classmates and I go there now several times a week because there is nothing like it in the area, and it is like having dinner at home to a degree. I'd recommend this to anyone! They also have convenient parking too.”

“We ordered the Spartan and were pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. The prices are very reasonable but bring cash. They do charge a fee for credit cards. They are in the old Bill and Leah’s building, so same interior-order food at counter and staff is very friendly. We enjoyed it.”

“At least this place smells better than the location in Greensboro, despite all the sweat-soaked runners in this establishment, which was kinda gross. Overall, I still enjoyed myself. Food truck by Twin City Minis was excellent!”

“Her company did our wedding. The food was gone in a minute. Thankfully, my husband made us a plate. The Mac and Cheese was the highlight of the wedding. The guests absolutely loved it.”

“My husband and I ate at Southbound last night and we really enjoyed everything we ordered except the red beans and rice which was really bland and tasteless. We ordered the red snapper, shrimp, Breakfast All Day, ahi, and carnitas tacos. All of them were really delicious. My favorite was the carnitas one because I really enjoyed how the pickled onions tasted with the pork. The ahi one was really tasty, but difficult to eat due to the jicama “tortilla”. My husband had to eat it with a fork. I think using the jicama makes it more low carb and maybe GF. We also ordered the queso dip which was tasty. I ordered the plantains as a side and they were good. I think it would be nice if they offered the elotes as a side dish. The churros with dulce de leche dip was pretty good. I think it would have been better if the dulce de leche dip was heated up a bit. I wasn’t crazy about the atmosphere for a dinner. I think it has kind of a fast food feel to it, but with servers and a higher price point. I’d definitely come back, but probably for lunch.”

“The food was excellent. The tortillas were obviously homemade. This is a small one person operation at this point. The nice lady that took our order also went to the back and cooked the food. Then she brought it to the table. Had been here once before and ordered tamales. Fantastic!”

“This was a great experience. I called before going in and they said that everything will be ready by 5 PM so we arrived around 5 PM and everything was fresh and ready to go. We tried most of items except one. we had to buy the entire thing and we didn’t wanted to do that. I will definitely get it next time. You guys need to give this place a try if you want some delicious Arabic sweets. Halal and great customer service 🫶”

“I just walked in after seeing there was a little international food court. I didn’t know which shop to choose, so I just walked to the one that was first in my line of sight and asked for the menu. Ordered the chilaquiles and oh. my. God. I’ve been complaining about the Mexican food in the Triad since I moved down seven years ago, and this was the best Mexican I’ve ever had. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was NOT expecting it to rock my palette. Holy smokes. I’ll be coming back. So grateful I wandered in on a whim. Don’t be put off by the atmosphere. It’s good and FAST.”

“This place was recommended to me and I am so happy I listened. The staff was super friendly and made helpful recommendations. The food was well priced and absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend checking them out. There is no dining there, so be aware of that.”

“I just visited for my second time and it was delicious again! I made a few substitutions on my Grilled Chicken Wrap and they were more than accommodating and it was exactly what I wanted. Their patio is wonderful and everyone I've encountered has been kind and provided great service. Happy to have a little spot to walk from my office for a quick lunch!”

“The food and the service was awesome! I also appreciate that they have decent weekday specials and I was able to try a lot of food for not a lot of money. I ordered the corn, chicken boa buns, ramen with chicken and the coconut donuts. Everything was hot (except the corn which is a cold dish!) and fresh. The portions were big and the staff was super friendly. I also left with 2 boxes and half a container of leftover ramen because I literally wanted to try everything. We will definitely be back.”

“I can’t leave an honest review past the atmosphere. They were out of the preferred drink I came for. It is very open and welcoming. I love the cherry top tables along with the big community style desk along the wall. I can leave an amazing review this time. I highly recommend this location. Super staff. I didn’t catch the baristas name but he was so sweet. I hope they extend hours for baseball season.”

“Best Smoothie bowl in Burlington NC. With my teen daughter and her friends we have tried ALL of them. The price for the amount we received was an AWESOME bonus. Very patient associates and I agree with other reviewers the wait was long but worth the wait.”

“The burrito de pollo was the special the other day, so I ordered one for lunch. I'm glad I did. I usually don't care for refried beans to and forgot to ask them to leave them out or replace with black beans. The refried? beans were made with Honduran beans and taste much better to me than the pinto beans. Service was friendly and quick. The horchata was good, a little different, but was a bit pricey. Anticipating going back to try something else!”
