“We both had good burgers and shared an order of tots. As I said, burgers were great. I really liked the tots but my husband didn't care for the texture. We both drank tap water. When the bill came, we were charged for a small cheeseburger combo and a regular burger. My burger and tots should add to 8.25 and a combo is 9.00. Not a really big deal but I couldn't make her understand that that's just plain wrong. She kept repeating they are told to charge for the combo. We waited a while to talk to the manager and gave up. Chek your bill!”

“Just had Island fest for the second time since they opened. The jerk chicken , came with a choice of yellow or white rice with beans , and cabbage. I always get a beef patty with my meal as well. The food was served quickly, it was hot , the staff was warm and attentive. It’s nice to be surrounded by the spicy aromas coupled with nice reggae tunes in the air. There’s no place like it in HP or surrounding cities. This place is a real gem. Support local mom and pop restaurants!”

“The place is nice and clean. Atmosphere, the walls are bare and not quite sure if they are open. The bagel was nice and tasty, with cream cheese. The steak and cheese was horrible. The meat was very thin, with ZERO seasoning, and the lettuce was larger than the actual meat(see pics). We also got a VEGGIE sandwich which was good, with a side of Broccoli salad. Notice we got a VEGGIE sandwich, which might be because one person is vegetarian. That person got the broccoli side. Took a bite and guess what? It's made with bacon! The person failed to tell us so! They offered a piece of cake in exchange. There is not a beverage station, drinks must be purchased out of a cooler. Definitely recommend getting one here for at least ice tea and water(this is big in the South) Lots of items on the menu but the steak and cheese was not good. I would recommend perhaps for those dining in to serve on a tray. Food was given to us in a paper had and after putting it on the table with the bottle of tea from the cooler looked like a school field trip lunch. Definitely not worth he almost $40 this cost! You could done in a decent restaurant with tip for this!”

“Absolutely 💯 delicious!!! Thank you I am still in the parking lot - couldn't wait to get home. I have just eaten the pounded yam & egusi soup. I am so full lol. Egusi soup is very flavorful, with chunks of stockfish with chicken (done the way I like it - fried well and seasoned just right). Fresh cooked food - hot and spiced well. Worth the wait time! My 1st visit - would be back, highly recommend. 😋 Tomorrow, i will try the other items I ordered - moi moi and fried rice with plantains tomorrow I am sure they will be just as yummy delicious!!! “Jersey Mike's is one of my favorite sub restaurants. I entered the restaurant and was informed an employee was injured and the wait could take up to 30 minutes, I agreed. As customers increased. They took orders and really worked hard to complete in a timely manner. I noticed that under pressure they remained level headed and professional. They were really apologetic for the wait. I had a great experience and will definitely return.”
