“We went on a Friday night. They were busy but we were seated immediately & served water promptly. We didn't have any cocktails but they have a bar area & they carried cider. I had their house smash burger & my wife had a grinder. Both were good. Not oh wow that was amazing. Our whole experience was good. Will we return? Maybe. It's possible. There was nothing extraordinary that would bring us back, but there was nothing off-putting that would drive us away. Ok, their fries were pretty good. I remember when I got my first Lexus. It was a glorified Camry that we put a lot of miles on & served us well. This restaurant was like the Camry, and there's nothing wrong with that.”

“The food was good, don’t get me wrong. That being said when I went to do curbside pickup two drivers came and went. One of them came out of the restaurant looking incredibly mad and upset, threw the pizza bag in the back on his car and sped off and the other looked like he was sprinting to the car like his life depended on it. I don’t like to judge places based on one experience, but that made me think maybe this place wasn’t so good to its employees and as a customer service worker myself that impacted my view of ordering there again. Remember without your employees your business would be nothing.”

“We took my Aunt and my grandparents today and sat on the patio and had lunch and it was such an amazing day! The weather was nice, the view of downtown was gorgeous, and the food was to die for!! We came on my birthday last year and it was amazing then too!! My family LOVED everything about it, down to the homemade iced tea! My husband and I did miss the garlic fries they used to have but the onion rings made up for it!! There was also a motorcycle gang that came for lunch and they got packed fast and the staff handled it seamlessly it was very impressive! Highly recommend”

“This gem is hidden in Newport. When you drive through or visit up here, stop in! It is worth it. As someone who has a severe allergy to dairy, I’m always hesitant to try new places. I don’t like to “inconvenience” the staff and ask questions that most of the time they don’t know the answers to. My family however, is not burdened with this - and they wanted to check the new place in Newport out. I went in anticipating to only ordering fries for myself - as that’s always a safe option. But left having one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The owner and chef, Shari, swung by our table and was great at answering questions and providing an option for me - the waitresses were great as well. The breads are homemade, the food has great flavor and you can tell it isn’t frozen. A few nights before we went here, we went to Clinkerdaggers and the steak I had at Brownells was 100x better - the quality, flavor and price was exceptional. My family had the grilled cheese and burgers and they were top notch. My husband commented that he wished they had an adult grilled cheese because our sons’ was the best he’s ever had.”

“Traveling across Washington and stopped here for a bite. Very quick service. Food was delicious and made me want a second plate. One thing I admire about this cafe is the hospitality. The staff are very kind and professional. One note I would like to add is the prices on the food which is understandable for being out a ways so prepare to spend at least $11-22 per dish. The decor fits with the surrounding environment and isn't too cluttered. Variations of tables at Windows and a nice quiet area in the back. Overall great place to stop and grab a bite.”
