“We were driving through Des Moines and were searching for a coffee shop - Zanzibar's stood out as a great place to try and we were so glad we stopped here!! Incredible mocha breve and sweet cream coffee - my only regret is that I didn't order multiples!! The flavor of the beans were crafted and curated so well - I wish we lived closer because this place would be a staple for us if we lived in the Des Moines area. Oh, and did I mention the banana bread?? Seriously amazing - some of the best I've ever had - great flavor, wasn't dry, and a substantial sized slice. The place was packed out too, so you knew from the start that it was a great place. The baristas were focused yet friendly and I felt comfortable asking questions if needed. The next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be back and I'll know to double up on my order too!”

“I’ve had this place on my list for a while and finally decided to try it out. This place is in a great location as many places on Ingersoll have terrible parking but as it is just across the street from the office max parking lot there isn’t an issue. I went in around lunch time and the place was really empty as it is mostly a dinner restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to a group or family as this would be a great restaurant to socialize in due to the in table grill and adequate table space. Their bar also seemed very stocked and modern. The food did not come out the fastest roughly 20 minutes but it was exceptional and I loved the pork rolls very flavorful and crunchy. Overall not the greatest place if you are just looking for a quick spot over lunch but seems to be a great pick for a family dinner or after work with some friends.”

“Being a small town girl, and after having just a rough day and after getting lost, but finally making it to the destination to get some Starbucks 😂 they were all so kind. It really made my day. My drink was made perfect and I'm super picky and all my drinks aren't on the the menu so they really have to listen and they did great. My drink was made perfect, the service was great. I'd definitely recommend this Starbucks and I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in the big city”

“I enjoy starting and ending bike rides at The Terrace. It’s a perfect location for this sort of thing, and there is no view like the view from The Terrace on either side of the bridge. I appreciate that The Terrace has vegan snacks and entrees, and grabbing a beer, wine or mocktails to go with it is a nice touch. Some issues with service, equipment failures, and item or ingredient availability takes away from the overall experience, but I’m still glad The Terrace is on the riverfront. I appreciate the restaurant’s mission and commitment of service to the community, and that, for sure, will keep me coming back.”

“A step back in time of a very fine dining experience. What an amazing evening from the moment Alan greeted us at the door and escorted us to our table. Justin, our server, stepped in to introduce himself, offer our menus, water, and bread with a wonderful dipping sauce while also taking our drink order. Justin returned with our drinks and shared thoughts of the menu selections. We started with an amazing seafood melody of lobster, scallop, and shrimp fondue as our appetizer. Followed by two perfectly prepared tender filet mignon, a shared baked potatoe, sautéed mushrooms all prepared by their excellent chef. Justin checked on us often, as did the restaurant manager Troy. We followed dinner with an amazing dessert and closed the place down after an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you, 1853, for a perfect evening.”

“My granddaughter turned 21 this week. She wanted to celebrate her birthday at The Rusty Duck. We have all been there several times, thus the reason for her choice. There were ten of us. It was snowing outside and a miserably scary drive there. The waitress seated us right away and took our drinks and appetizer orders. She was an excellent waitress from beginning to end. She even gave our granddaughter a shot of her choice for her birthday! The food was fantastic, as always! The service was fantastic, as always. We had a great time and everyone arrived safely back home that evening”

“This place is great. It reminds me of the old "LeDucs" in the village of Wales, Wisconsin. Lamont Dairy Sweet is situated on Iowa Hiway 187 in the little historic town of Lamont, Iowa. The food is wonderful and get this, THEY MAKE MALTS TO ORDER. How cool is that? You can order a rib sandwich or a steak. Dining is outside or in your car. This is the kind of place that makes aimless cruising fun. Iowa needs more of this, so when I find this kind of place I get excited. This a cool cheap dinner with the girlfriend, wife or both if you are daring. If I could have given it 10 stars, I would. UPDATE: LAMONT DAIRY SWEET SEEMS TO BE BETTER THAN BEFORE!! My wife and I visited Lamont Dairy Sweet today and it was wonderful. When the question, "Is this Heaven (?)" was asked, the answer should be, YES. HEAVEN IS LAMONT DAIRY SWEET!! We had Steak Sandwiches that were out of this world. Great people, totally wonderful food. Thank you LAMONT DAIRY SWEET.”

“My family and I have been wanting to go check out this new place since it opened, we love Mexican restaurants! El Jefe didn't quite have their liquor license yet, so we didn't get a chance to try the cocktails. The Tequila Mule did catch my eye, and I'm excited about going back to try that drink out. I had the Chile Colorado, I requested it spicy, and they delivered! My wife had the shrimp tacos, which she enjoyed, my son got the shrimp diavolo, and my daughter got ceviche, which was very fresh and I couldn't help by sneak a chip full! Overall this was a great experience, and we will be back!”

“The food here is amazing. I had the Seafood Chimichanga. My husband had the Fajita Nachos. My son had the Seafood Fajita. We had others in the party, too, and they all really enjoyed their meals. The margaritas are fantastic - especially the jalapeño margarita! And the servers are wonderful. It ran about $120 for four adults and 2 kids - more than fair. We will be returning!!!”

We had a variety of dishes, including the Breakfast Burrito, Bananas Foster French Toast, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, The Notorious B&G, Juan Denver Omelette, Panchodilla, and my personal favorite, the Jamaican Me Hungry. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, leaving no one hungry or disappointed. Even the house coffee deserves a shout-out – rich and flavorful, the perfect way to start the day. The ambience at The Breakfast Club is another highlight. The retro and bright atmosphere creates a fun and trendy vibe, further enhanced by the great music playing in the background. It's a place that makes you want to linger and enjoy your company and your meal. Overall, The Breakfast Club gets a perfect 5 stars from our group!
