“Absolutely loved the food, as well as the general atmosphere! I went another family member and we both greatly enjoyed the food! They went with the French onion soup and Ceasar salad (they greatly enjoyed both) and I went the cheese curds and their bistro pizza! Service was quick and the entire staff was very courteous! The beer-battered cheese curds were a savory treat! They had that desired comforting taste I've come to expect and love, and the fried outside had just enough crisp to it, yet gave way while pulling it apart to see the melted cheese ooze from within. Pairing it with the house-made tomato sauce was also a great touch! The bistro pizza was fantastic! Very flavorful! The middle was a bit softer, giving it some "flop" but removing each piece from the tray was no issue. Neither was folding it before my tastebuds could experience the wonderful flavors it provided! The crust had a light crisp on the outside, but was airy and softer on the inside once you take a bite! Overall very pleased with my meal and as my first time trying the savory items, I'm glad they are on par with the high quality treats I've come to love for years! Would highly recommend! 🌟😁👍🌟”

“We had dinner Sunday night and wow! We ordered artichoke dip, a family size salad, and 3 pizzas for 8 if us. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious! Go, you won’t be disappointed. We shared family salad with 5 adults and even took some home. We had so much pizza; enough to have leftovers for 4 families. We were well taken care of. An awesome first visit for us, 2 other families had been there before.”

“I am excited this place is open! The remodel is nice and certainly a very different vibe, more upscale and caters to a different audience. We had breakfast , a breakfast egg sausage sandwich and the frittata. Both were very tasty. The menu is still evolving and we are excited to see what gets added. Nice variety of beverages to buy in fridge and salads looked fresh. The biggest gap I see is lack of basic groceries which was the best part of the prior establishment and probably the one of primary reasons we headed there (breakfast being the other). We paid premium for milk, butter eggs and sugar, and we were happy to pay for the convenience when we woke up and found we were missing essentials and did not want to go all the way to a grocery store in Walworth or rte50. The general area is very residential and I would assume we are not the only ones. Not sure you will find me seated at the couch by the fireplace, though it adds a nice aesthetic touch, but let's see. Instead of multiple shelf's of random gifts and candles, simple household items might be better suited for this area. In any case I am hopeful this place makes it and gets a lot of foot traffic. We will continue to frequent here and see how this evolves and what else gets added to the menu.”

“We unknowingly arrived about 30 minutes before they closed, however; we were still greeted with happy faces and heartfelt welcomes. We ordered THE BEST chicken tenders I've had anywhere. When we realized we were the only ones in the place and inquired about closing time we were horrified to realize we were about to be keeping these kind people from enjoying the rest of their Saturday. We can't express enough how wonderful we think the staff, food and atmosphere was. We will make Mothers Day a regular stop on our way through Horicon!!! Thank you to everyone who was so kind.”

“One of the best! I really do love this place. When I first passed through Oconomowoc 3 years ago by happen chance, I stopped by Roots for lunch. The experience of seeing City Beach, eating lunch at Roots, and driving through downtown Oconomowoc was enough for me to pack up and move here 4 months later from an hour away. I think they have the best coffee/Lattes in town. Their food quality/service has always been top notch. The interior is cozy and contemporary, Intimate and relaxing. This has been a repeat business I have spent $100s of dollars with in the last 3 years. I love it. I just wanted to say that it is absolutely crazy that the breakfast burrito I ate today was 1/3 filled with corn. Not even fresh corn. FROZEN CORN! I’m still shocked. The texture and taste of frozen corn is beyond recognizable and barely palatable on a plate with butter let alone wrapped up and reheated in a breakfast burrito. Ya’ll need to remove the corn and replace with potato and even bell peppers (both can be frozen and reheated) - using frozen corn in a breakfast meal as an ingredient is crazy. The other thing was I had a hard time reading the menu today with the baby blue background and fine font. I overheard the elderly couple behind me discussing the same thing. I love Roots and will continue to patronize this business - but please guys tweak that burrito a little bit 🙏🏼🌽”

“First time. Texas Burger and Smashed Fried Taters. Burger was perfect through and through. Great choice of BBQ sauce on the burger. Nice juicy patty. Bun was soft and not stale. The potatoes are cooked exactly how I like my potatoes. Plenty of flavor choices. Dang! Soda is a great choice of beverage! Grabbed me a rootbeer. Overall 5/5 experience. Staff is friendly! Service was quick. Can't wait to go back for more!”

“It can be hard to find healthy AND clean food, so we’re so grateful for this place. Our (picky) kids ate and ate, and we felt great about everything we were feeding them. The bread is so good. We got the chicken pesto and Buffalo chicken sandwiches and a loaded avocado toast, and the bread especially just takes everything to the next level. Also recommend the chocolate cherry smoothie if you have a sweet tooth like me. So creamy and smooth! The staff was also wonderfully friendly and helpful. We love this place.”

“Went for dinner and stayed for the Packers game. Kris knows how to pump up the crowd with her "Another Green Bay Packer First Down!!!!" Shots for scores. Jeffs chili is hands down one of the best. It is hearty, thick and a little bit of zing. Friendly crowd and I cant wait to hang out on the patio in the summer!”
