“Have been here twice since they’ve opened. Was able to get seated immediately each time. Incredible service and food was flavorful. I had the shrimp curry the first time (amazing!!) and the goat curry (subbed pasta for caulirice - spicy and yummy) - both were recommendations from the server we had the first time I stopped. The menu had a nice variety of classic American food and some more unique items. Love having this restaurant in Excelsior! Will def be back!”

“We had wanted to try this place for awhile. Wow, super fresh and flavorful. Asian and American fusion. Some for everyone. To nigh we split our choice and went with sesame chicken, and chicken fried rice. A grilled chicken Cesar wrap with sides of wantons and cheese curds. Where to start we stopped in randomly and decided on our choice. The owner is so awesome and friendly. The short wait went fast and learning about his business and ingredients. We did take out! And really enjoyed our dinner. Pictures are no where near as wonderful as in person. Seriously give this place a try.”

“Okay, but this was an actual bakery! What is an actual bakery you might ask? Well, it had a lot more than a donut to offer. The customer service was top notch. “Food wasn't that good. Chips soggy because lettuce was piled on them. Found two over ripe cherry tomatoes under the hamburger bun. How they got there is a mystery. The salmon salad was tasteless and very overdone. Very dry. The vinegrette was basically French dressing. A few cherry tomatoes and very few little chunks of cucumber. Poor excuse for a salad. The server was great, but should've offered something to excuse the salad.”

“A great experience for our Scout troop's trip to the BWCA. Lori and Carl were fantastic to work with, especially since our trip was COVID-delayed by a year. Meals at the outfitters were satisfying, especially the pancake and bacon breakfasts. The price for our package was extremely reasonable. Bunkhouse accommodations were simple but well-suited to a Scout group. The outfitting package worked well for our 5-night trip. Food supplied with our package was more than ample. They were friendly and helpful throughout our trip-planning phase, especially regarding route planning. Pickup from our exit point was exactly as scheduled. Highly recommend Canadian Border Outfitters for your BWCA visit!”

“What a perfect spot for a bite, if hiking at Whitewater or climbing the Elba Fire Tower! The service was amazing, you felt the kindness of a small town come through with each conversation. The food was delicious and quick! We had biscuits and gravy, (you cannot go wrong), along with French toast and sausage. “Arrived Friday night at about 5:30. Ordered food and drink. The bartender (Mel) was very nice. Whatever you pay her it's not enough. Only bartender on duty for a Friday and she was buzzing around getting drinks for bar and restaurant. Real pleasure watching her do her job as she never stopped. Get her some help. Great place. I'll be back. As great as last Friday was this week was a disaster. Ordered a beverage and the waitress went and talked to to her friend and totally forgot about me. Needless to say I left without ordering food.”

“We are staying near Marcell on Caribou Lake and took a drive to Big Fork. Discovered this great spot when a couple of kids walked by with soft serve cones! Boom! Fantastic. Then we returned a few days later for lunch after a visit to the Lost Forty. 5 adults and a bunch of kids — great “combo specials” and onion rings and burgers. Malts with extra malt powder were tasty as well. We sat outside. Kids likes the .25¢ games inside. You won’t be disappointed. Helpful staff.”

“We roadtripped over to this course from Bemidji to add it to our list of courses golfed. Overall, it was a good course. Many of the hole intertwined a bit, so I was thankful it was slow. Some very nice holes though and the staff was very kind. We ate at the restaurant after golfing 18 holes, and the food was your normal bar food but was good and well priced. The carts were good and well taken care of. The course fairways could use some love. Lost several balls that were hit in the middle of the fairway because the grass was long and covered in small white flowers. The greens were in excellent shape, though. Overall, it was a good experience!”

“Very beautiful course right behind the casino with gorgeous views from the club house. Very scenic course right off the first tee. Large rock walls, dramatic drops, and water throughout. The fairways and bunkers were well kept, but the greens could use some TLC. I did thoroughly enjoy my round and loved all the holes. Great place to play and would definalty reccomend it.”
