“We had a really great experience at Tasty Crab. We enjoyed oysters, crawfish, catfish, snow crab & shrimp - everything tasted fresh! Our waiter Kevin was on the ball and had a great sense of humor. People complaining about lack of season need to dip their bites in the sauce in the bag. The medium spicy Cajun had plenty of flavor with just enough heat. I really liked that the atmosphere was comfy - nice booths and cozy feeling. It's not all hard chairs & crowded table seating like this style of restaurant often is.”

“You will not disappointed!!! High quality and very fresh, super delicious. I have never failed with any menu with Chef Justin. Very reasonable price and luxurious presentations! He is very popular for private parties and catering. One of the BEST sushi in town!!”

“I dined here with a buddy of mine last week. The food was great and the quality was amazing! Nice cuts of steak. Also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very welcoming and responsive to our needs. The lady who served us also had a cool personality and making sure we had everything we needed. The service is just as important as the food and they did very well so thank you so much!”

“This is a late post but made reservations for one of their large rooms on the Friday before Christmas. Visited a month in advance and then again a week or so before to ensure that our reservation was kept. Wasn't convinced that our reservation was going to be kept but it was nice to do those visits to hangout, and the reservation turned out ok. Had a group of 15 people or so in the large room for 2-hours. Ordered a bunch of buckets of beer and bottles of soju, as well as an order of their fried chicken (pictured here) with their sauce on the side (which was excellent with a nice kick of heat/spiciness). Total of the night was roughly around $600. Wouldn't mind visiting again although you need a small/large group for a room. Not sure if they allow karaoke in the common area if there aren't a lot of occupied rooms.”

“The food was delicious! I ordered the surf and turf!!! You get to choose as many veggies as you want. I chose mozzarella cheese. It’s so filling that I at some yesterday and finished the rest for lunch! The staff is very polite and professional!”

“Came in for the first time to try it out. The place was busy during lunch, and I waited 20 minutes for my sandwich and fries. I picked up the Spicy Garlic Chicken sandwich. Nice thick cut of fried chicken but not all that spicy. The highlight of the sandwich was the creamy slaw and warm soft bun. The curly fries weren't half bad either. Will need to come back and try the rest of the menu.”

“The ambience definitely needs a pick me up. Some sort of ring notification to let them know that someone has entered their building would be a really good look. I rated the service a three based on my having to wait around a few mins to actually receive service after exclaiming a "hello," and then tapping on the window. She was def nice though. I ordered the jerk chicken alfredo for a price point of $15. Great presentation. Creamy. Pasta well cooked. A tad bit too salty, and tasted more like Tony's Creole seasoning than jerk. Not feeling the price point on what I received, but glad that I checked them out.”

“Wow! The space the atmosphere the service 5 star all the way! I had an infused lemonade shake up and it was just like the fair so delicious. Then I moved on to one of there signature cocktails with a Cuban sandwich. This sandwich reminded me of the one I had in MIAMI so fire! Make sure you go back and see Lola or Sara. They are the best!”

“I am so happy that we have a good Indian place in rockford now! Service was great. The food tasted like I was sitting in someone's home cooking for me. Very authentic and such good flavor throughout every dish. My understanding is they will be changing out the tables and chairs and disposable plates and silverware in a couple weeks, so mid May. They said they will be adding more to their menu too at that time. If you're in the mood for Indian, ya need to come here! I'll be back soon!”

“Franchise plus company feedback: The service was not the stereotypical overly friendly and bubbly service, but I was asked if I wanted anything else. (Some people just rush through and assume I’m done ordering when I pause for them to catch up either gathering the items or typing on the register.) For the company: The churro bites are absolutely not churro bites. FALSE ADVERTISING. It’s just pretzel bites (pictured) with a dusting of sugar and cinnamon, then decorated with “dulce de leche” syrup and chocolate syrup. 😑 There was awkward silence as I waited for the cashier to tell me the total (as is customary anywhere, I think). The machine was abnormally slow, so I’m surprised the cashier hadn’t made a comment about it. I’m not sure what happened with the napkins- we could have used some and a bag, but no bag was offered. Not sure if I overlooked a self- serve napkin thing. Overall, the food was eh. I wouldn’t really go back to a Wetzel Pretzel franchise again in general.”

“We had heard about Fuego and the excellent food, and decided to try it while at the mall. Oh wow! The burgers are wonderful, perfectly charbroiled when you place your order. And the wide variety of empanadas... Just wow. We had the chicken and cheese, and the steak fajita empanadas, just delicious! I've traveled in Argentina and can honestly say these are truly perfect!”

“By far my favorite restaurant in the food court(best Mexican in the surrounding are). Not only is the food excellent but the owners/workers go out of their way to make you feel like family. If you’re ever at the mall please go say hello to Alex and support a local business(opposed to all the chains). I promise you will not regret it!”

“Well... a bit on the pricey side. And food is just okay. Not exceptional which is sad. Location vacant since covid closed Granite City. I like the concept but just misses the mark, slightly. Had the sushi. Good portions. Juat so-so, no ginger or Wasabi. And nothing special. Margarita, had the cucumber and that was amazing! Get on the rocks as frozen comes premixed. The price.. Gasping !!! Dessert, had the churros with ice cream. Super smash! Cheesecake... skip it. No flan available. Sad. And the home chips and salsa... tuna mix delicious!!! But the green salsa was good just a bit beyond spicy. And we like spicy food. Fresh jalapeño with seeds is a regular staple. So, check it out, but watch what you order.”

“November 9, 2023 Visited Hotshots for the first time with my family. It opened in Decatur within the past two months. It was not the best of visits, but the restaurant has potential. One of my family members with me was my 18 month old grandson. Unfortunately, the restaurant had no high chairs or booster seats. We almost left, but stayed. The grandson had to sit on an adult’s lap and eat. Not the best start. The server was friendly and welcoming. She was slow to bring drinks and slower to refill them. In fact, the water drinkers had to wait for the server to take an empty glass to the back, refill it and return. Too many wasted steps went into this process. Bringing a pitcher to the table for refills would have been better. The food was so, so. The Nachos were good. The beef had a nice kick and it was garnished nicely. However, I had ordered chicken nachos. I did not complain or request a refund. The appetizer sampler platter had overcooked ravioli and mini tacos. The tater tots were good. The honey glaze on the boneless wings was flavorful, but the wings were tough. The staff was friendly. The manger gave us free fries for no apparent reason than to be nice. I appreciated the gesture, as did the grandson. This could become a nice sports bar. There are many mounted flat screens throughout the restaurant. They were on and showing a variety of games. The back room has pool tables and dart boards. It could give the other local sports bars a run for the money if service and food quality improve. I see potential in the Decatur Hotshots. I will return in 30 to 45 days to see if there is improvement.”

“I had a delightful lunch with a close friend. The food was absolutely delicious. The person who prepared our meal was incredibly friendly and efficient. Despite the potential for noise and busyness, it was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to have a pleasant conversation. My friend mentioned that he had noticed the noise level in the past can be high. This charming restaurant is locally-owned, and I highly recommend it!”

“Great little place to have a good meal! It's below the bakery so when you enter you get some amazing smells but once you head downstairs you are transported to a hidden gem! The food was delicious, we had quesabirria tacos as well as the chicken flautas and they had awesome flavor. Perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. Next time we come, we will be checking out the Colombian food!”

“Taste wise, their stuff is good, that is why the three star rating. Store is neat and clean. Unfortunately, they cheated. I ordered 30 big samosas for pickup, they had them ready when I went there. Next day, I open the pack and to my surprise, these are small samosas. I called them, and they said that the owner said that she will ask the kitchen staff. They said that they were aware of the fact that a few big samosas were sold and as a result, they put in small samosas (which they supposedly doubled). This is far from correct, all 30 samosas were small, plus, they never bothered to tell me about the swap (which didn't happen) and spoiled my planning. To top it all, the kitchen staff who talked to me was rude.”

“Visited this restaurant on Friday. This is my new favorite place to eat! There are so many great choices to fill any appetite, and not kidding, fill you they do! I had the philly beef , so tasty, and my companions were pleasantly surprised by the quantity , and quality of the breaded pork tenderloin dinner! Plates are full, loaded to the hilt with meat! All of their food is made from scratch, the owner informed us. Such a friendly staff, waitresses are quick and happy to be there, most of all made us feel welcome and looking forward to coming back again and again. With a modern look , the place is well lit and clean. You will not be disappointed with this place. We will definitely be coming back, absolutely! Thank you! Oh , check out the bananas Foster. It is the bomb!”
