“Very nice and clean place to take your family with kids to have lunch or breakfast. I should admit the oration of the sandwiches is really big. The halal meat is fresh and delicious, not seasoned too much as other places do. The buns of the sandwich and all other bread products are hand-made right there. It gives the sense of eating healthy and fresh. The price is also responsible, averaging $15 per person for food including drink. Another good point is - it’s location. On the Higgins, very easy to park.”

“We came for the Ramadan iftar buffet and it was a very nice experience. The staff is very attentive and polite. This was my first time at this restaurant and the food was different but in a good way. The buffet had a good variety of salads and entrees. I would recommend that they label the foods on their buffet table to make it easier to identify. Overall it was a very good experience and we would go back again.”

“I had a jumbo Chicago dog delivered to a hotel just up the way. The hotdog was so delicious and the cake shake is one of the most cake filled shakes I have tired. I will probably order one or two more hot dogs before I leave Chicago”

“First of all the decor at this place was great. There was obvious attention to detail. Chips are already on the tables even before you sit down. The salsa was good, but I wanted a side of guacamole which was authentically made. We shared the steak fajitas and chicken mole. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and we had leftovers to take home. My husband wasn't a fan of the mole but I liked it. We both agreed the steak was cooked perfectly. I think I found my new favorite nearby Mexican restaurant!”

“Enjoyed the rotisserie chicken dinner. Bartenders were engaging and attentive. What shocked me were the items on my bill. They charged $3.00 per drink for "rocks". Surcharge for ice cubes! The last item was the ever present hidden "surcharge" of 3 per cent. This wasn't mentioned on the menu unless I missed it. We'll have to rethink visiting again.”

“The staff was warm and very attentive we had great service from the moment we were seated. The Black Forest Ramen stole the show, but the Sushi rolls (Rainbow, Eel and California Roll) were all fresh and delicious. The octopus ball appetizers were savory. The tempura shrimp was perfectly crispy and the kids ate all of the mochi and we had one of each kind. The favorites were chocolate, strawberry and mango. We’ll definitely be returning to try more!”

“Amazing food and extremely nice employees. The food was fresh and the portions were huge. We couldn’t even finish our bowls - they were PACKED. The prices are amazing and they serve halal meat. Will be coming back at LEAST once a week! All the toppings are included and the place is spotless. The lady who served us was so sweet and kind. Love this place already!”

“Can look a little sketchy but tge food is good. Turon was crispy and not too sweet. People are really nice. I suggest getting them fresh! The place is filipino owned now but still good chicken. The gooey sauce is still very similar as before and chicken is still crispy. And that signature smell filled my car still smells so good. Will be back for more!”

“I had the pepperoni pizza slice and it did not disappoint. It tasted just like real pepperoni, even though its plant based and vegetarian. It was a perfect floppy pie, just like a good New York Pizza should be.”

Delicious Kosher Chicago jumbo hot dogs with your choice of fresh trimmings. Corn dog were nostalgic and tasty. Turkey Pastrami panini & seasoned fries were good. Fountain drinks were cold & fresh. Was told the burgers were good, looking forward. Thanks”

“Lovely spot right off the square! Wine and beer at very fair prices, all very delicious as well. Great bites to choose from while having a drink, the patio area is so cute and makes the experience even more delightful! Our server, Brandon, was incredible and made the experience great for my first time there. I will be recommending this spot and definitely be back myself!”

“Got to try their pizza and topper sticks at the grand opening. Food was pretty good for the price. The door was a bit chewy with very little undercarriage but overall the sauce and cheese was good and flavorful. Very good taste. For the price. I would definitely go back.”

“The smash burger was 10/10. The buns were great, perfect texture, and the patties were everything you wanted. I added bacon which was the cherry on top. Granted you need a bit of patience, and you might end up with a bit of smokey smell on your clothes so beware. However, it is a new place, so give them a couple of weeks to be on top of everything.”

“Located in the heart of the city, Salt is a culinary gem that delivers an unforgettable dining experience, especially with its renowned smash burger. While it may come in at number two compared to Hampton Social, Salt's smash burger is a must-try for burger enthusiasts. The moment you sink your teeth into Salt's smash burger, you're greeted with an explosion of flavors. The perfectly seasoned beef patty, cooked to juicy perfection, is complemented by the melted cheese and crispy edges that result from the smashing technique. Each bite is a delightful blend of textures and tastes, making it one of the best smash burgers in town. What sets Salt's burger apart is its simplicity yet bold flavors. The quality of the ingredients shines through, from the fresh brioche bun to the locally sourced beef. It's a testament to the chef's skill in crafting a burger that is both comforting and gourmet. While Salt's smash burger may not claim the top spot compared to Hampton Social, it certainly holds its own in the city's culinary scene. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service add to the overall dining experience, making it a place worth revisiting.”
