“We had a great experience here. Went in with high expectations since I've been to the Drake location a few times, and they definitely met the mark. Their taco pizza was phenomenal! It's SO good. Breaksticks were amazing. Pepperoni popper was delicious. We also got the hog wild, husband said that was good, too. Friends got the brownie and we tried it, it was a bit dry. Service was great. We were there awhile chatting with friends, and they walked around and asked people how their food was and if they needed anything. The place was clean, bathrooms clean also.”

“Mullets Uptown Ankeny: Great Rooftop Vibes, But Plastic Cups? Mullets Uptown Ankeny has a fantastic rooftop bar! The atmosphere was perfect for our sunny evening - relaxed and enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive. Here's the thing though - the drinks come in plastic cups, which felt a bit cheap. Luckily, the water came in reusable aluminum cups, so we were able to use those for our mules. We haven't tried the food at this location yet, but the dishes we saw looked amazing, especially the hot Nashville chicken sandwich. That'll definitely be our order next time! Overall, a great spot for rooftop drinks with a view, but be prepared for the plastic cups if you want a drink on the rooftop...”

“I think that this boba shop is SO cute. I took pictures the moment I stepped through the door. Overall, I think this place is good. I have had 2 drinks here and they were decent, not my favorite drink, but still fulfilled my cravings. The thing that keeps me coming back is the K-dogs! I’m so happy that Iowa finally has some K-dogs in the area. I have tried the full cheese and half/half hot cheeto dog, but I prefer the full cheese one! Will definitely come back for snacks!”

“First time visiting here. The restaurant looks really nice and clean. Great atmosphere. The servers were quick and really nice. Food got to the table very fast. My girlfriend loved the Miami vice (she even got a second). It was also filled to the brim. The chips and salsa were really good. Prices for the food were really good for the portions. The only complaint I have is the food was not seasoned at all. I got the chimichanga with shredded beef with double rice. The chimichanga was crispy and the beef was very tender, it just had no seasoning. Neither did the rice, it just tastes like plain rice. Girlfriend says the cheesy chicken and rice was the same way. Would love to see an improvement in the food and would be willing to come back.”

“You have to try this place! We haven't had a bad experience yet. Have I had to wait for egg rolls, yes. Then they were fresh. Why would I complain about that? This place is a family favorite, and we stop in about every week. We love supporting small businesses, and this place is involved in helping out the community. Just stopped by and had a nice chat with the staff, and they are the best. Kind, courteous, and accommodating. If you have large orders plan (and if large enough possibly pay) ahead of time. They aren't your local buffet, they make things fresh, by hand, with their heart and soul, and not an unlimited inventory. Can't wait to stop in again!”

“This is a beautiful location. Keep in mind it was certainly cold outside but here it was a very tropical temperature. The whole place is a walk through but they have little note by every plant to let you know what kind of plant you are looking at. The main area had live music playing. There's a restaurant but we didn't have time to go in. It's also a venue for weddings apparently. Tickets are reasonably priced however if you live near here, membership makes more sense. This is a place to go and just to be in the moment. It's a must see spot in De Moines.”

Husband had something I didn’t get name of but it was seafood served in a pineapple with cream sauce with all the vegetables. Top notch service. They have large corn quesadillas that have lettuce an fresh cheese on them a different spin on a traditional flour quesadilla with justeat an melted cheese. We got the tinga one, it was very good. The service was good very patient an friendly, took awhile to get the order but I'm ok with waiting to get hot fresh food. The location isn't bad just a little chaotic with all the construction at that intersection.”

“Oh, my. Didn’t get to try much—they were sold out and had to cook fresh chicken (!). The chicken was fabulous. And, surprisingly, not salty. Perfectly beaded, seasoned and cooked. Pieces were mammoth. Mac and cheese was REAL, not boxed or with processed cheese. Heaven on a plate. I’m a Southern-raised girl and the cabbage was wonderful—no trendy crisp-tender goin’ on here. “Had the fajita and the Philly steak with Mac and cheese with sprite and sweet tea. The sweet tea wasn’t as sweet as I hoped but was still good. Also had side of fries and bone in bbq wings. The wings did not disappoint but sadly the fries just weren’t it. They seemed to be double fried as they were really crunchy like hurt your teeth crunchy. It’s whatever because it’s just fries. We also had the brownie Sunday which can feed more than just two people it’s huge and delicious. Wish I would have taken a picture but I wanted to eat it! Our server was super nice and was attentive to everyone she was helping. I plan on eating here again and encourage others to check it out.”

“We enjoyed having our son's birthday party here. They have great party packages, which is cool. And I didn't know they'd remodeled, but it looks really nice. The only issue I had was playing phone tag to get the party booked in the first place because you have to go through corporate which I don't love, but once we did connect he was helpful and kind. The party was super fun and staff day of were wonderful and on top of it. They decorated and set up the party table so I literally just had to show up, which is what I was wanting!”

“Fancy's is the best pizza I've had in CR, hands down. I got the sausage, mushroom, and pesto this past Sunday which was my first visit and man did it DELIVER. The toppings were incredibly high quality, and the crust was the perfect NY-style of crispy and chewy. Also, this 18" pizza will easily feed four hungry guys watching Sunday football; I tested it for you.
