“Community oriented bbq restaurant ran by a couple of pretty nice guys. It’s inside of Eastern Palace Club so it’s easy to not even realize it’s there. On Thanksgiving 2022 they gave out free meals to people in need…that’s how me & my cat got to eat dinner that holiday. I’ve had a few of their other meals and everything so far has all been delicious. They even have a pet wall. Just text them a photo of your pet and they will print stickers and put them on their pet display.”

The taco size is a bit bigger, and some of the tortillas are thicker depending on what style of tacos you get. Everything tasted fresh and homemade; the tortilla chips were amazing!! “I tried Playa Bowls for the first time today. Nothing short of amazing! I ordered the Goldie Mango Bowl (added collagen and coconut flakes). The consistency of the base and proportions of ingredients were spot on. Super fresh and filling. I scheduled a pickup through the app which is very user friendly. It’s also nice they offer rewards! The staff was friendly and got my order out of the cooler as soon as I arrived. Great atmosphere, very clean. Looking forward to trying more!”

“Clyde‘s Drive-In is a hidden gem, on the edge of Sault Ste. Marie. We were welcomed by incredible friendly staff, that helped us to find and customize our favorite burger. While we were waiting for the food, the owner showed up and took the time for a little talk about the history of the restaurant. The burgers were unbelievable tasty. For sure one of the best burgers I ever had. Also the atmosphere of the restaurant is just great with so many details. I would really like it, if there were more amazing restaurants like that around. 100% recommendation.”

“You need to order pasties ahead via their Facebook page. It's a local thing. They seem to be winding down their business unfortunately, because I asked why they don't make them every day, "because we don't want to" was the answer. The pasties were delicious ($6 -2022), but they only make one variety (beef,rutabaga,carrot and onion?), the crust is perfectly flaky). I got there early and didn't know about pre orders, but I was able to put in an order and pick up an hour later. But by then the muffins were gone, though they did have a couple of cookie varieties left. I should have taken a picture, but I was hungry!”

“My family and I have had such a great time here. Carla's Motel isn't like the Lakeside Inn, but we were glad to have had our stay here at Carla's. The staff is so friendly and courteous to our family. We have so many great experiences here at Carla's. The restaurant is worth waiting until Tuesday to eat at. It's not fancy, but it sure felt like home. My husband and I kept referring to our room to our kids, "When we get home..." I can't express enough what this place has done for our family. “I've been eating at the Rice Paddy for 20 years up until I moved away. Tonight was my first time eating there since Aoy sold it. I read about the disappointments others felt and was apprehensive about giving it a try. I love Aoy, she catered my wedding forever ago. I was afraid my nostalgia would get in the way or that the food wouldn't be as good as it used to be. My fears were entirely unfounded. I absolutely loved my dinner. I got Pork Pad See Eew, a shrimp egg roll and a bowl of hot and sour soup. The Pad See Eew isn't like any other Pad See Eew out there and it never has been. I ordered it perfectly in the middle of the spiciness levels and it was perfect. I loved every bite. The egg roll was huge, fat, packed, greasy, hand rolled and just awesome. It was one of the best egg rolls I've ever had. The Hot and Sour Soup. It was one of the best tasting things I've ever eaten. Aoy's Hot and Sour Soup was my favorite food for years. Now this is. It's so awesomely good. It's really spicy, tangy, packed full of cabbage and tofu. It was as good as it gets. Nang's isn't Aoy's. It's Nang's and it's really, really good. I wish I still lived here. I'd eat this every week.”

“We got our food to go but I went inside to pick up the food and used the restrooms. I LOVE the all plant based style menu and the restaurant was very inclusive. They have all gender restrooms and they had indoor and outdoor seating. My partner had the Holy Grail Impossible Burger and they said it was very good and spicy. I had the Classic with a Chkn patty and that was also very tasty! The fries were great and the Pretzel bites were phenomenal! My partner loved them with the mustard sauce and I loved them with the cashew cheese sauce! We didn't stay for drinks but they have a great drink menu, I would absolutely go back there!”

“Happened to be nearby and stopped in to check this place out. So glad we did! Folks there are friendly, the place is clean, and the food is quite good. My Honduran wife had the pollo con tajadas, while I went for pollo guisado. Both were on point and totally authentic. The pickled onions could use to pickle a bit longer, but at least they were clearly fresh! The mega balleadas, by the way, are really balleadas preparadas for those in the know, rather than extra, extra large as they would be in Honduras. Regular and mega are the same generous (but not overwhelming) portion. For those who haven’t tried Honduran food, give it a shot! The flavors are unmistakably Latin, but the food is always made simply from fresh ingredients. I would say Latin ingredients combined with an Italian philosophy on cooking. I would say also that this place is a reasonably-priced and quality entry into Central American cuisine. Shout out to Yosi, who provided great service!!”

“Replaced the old Sanders ice cream. Although I miss Sanders 😔 this place is pretty cool. They sale hot dogs with so many toppings to choose from and Mehlhose brand ice cream I didn’t try the hot dogs because I came for ice cream and it was pretty good. The only reason I rate 4 stars cause I asked the worker was the brand of ice cream still Sanders(since they had Sanders merchandise all over the store) she told me yes and it clearly wasn’t Sanders brand. But overall I would recommend trying them out!”
