“Nate is the coolest person ever! Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Try their strawberry flavor drinks it's pretty darn good or their weekly specials. Definitely a gem spot and so glad to come here when I'm in Minneapolis. Super healthy and quick! Love seeing this in the community!”

“Love Lagos! Staff is always super friendly and nice. Always have great recommendations. The traditional margarita is the best. A simple margarita but so so good. I always get the avocado taco, by far my fav. But the ahi tuna and shrimp tacos are also amazing. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order from here. I always like doing tacos because then you get to try a few flavors. But getting a burrito or bowl is a great way to go as well!”

“I can’t believe people are rating this restaurant poorly just cause it’s not open yet. Clearly the kind of people without an understanding of how opening a restaurant works. SIDE EYE Cheba Hut was my go to sandwich shop for the 7 years I lived in Denver, and even worked there for a while. Most things are made from scratch and everything is fresh. I CAN 👏🏽 NOT 👏🏽 WAIT 👏🏽”

“First time: great mashed potatoes and spicy chicken sandwiches, hot wings weren’t that hot, and the Mac n cheese was alright. I’d recommend some salt and pepper (was pretty bland). Tasty tea too!”

“The one on Uni is better, the catfish nuggets were so over fried you couldn't even bite into them unless you wanted an emergency dental visit. Never visiting this location again...”

“Fantastic Trinidadian meal from Channa Kitchen! Awesome to have this unique cuisine locally. All the dishes had great flavor. Good portion size and everything was packaged up nicely. We had curry chicken, stew chicken, lo mein with shrimp, and Pholourie. Roti was nice and flaky and pepper sauce was 🔥. Can’t wait to go back again and definitely adding some doubles to the next order. Just wish they had chicken curry on the menu IYKYK 🤣”

“The food was good, but I think you are paying extra for the presentation. The Prince Margarita was tasty though, so it could be a new place to try well mixed drinks with friends. I do want to point out that you need to pay $10 for chips and salsa, which is a weird choice considering there are other Mexican restaurants with a similar quality that give that out for free.”

“My sister and I went for lunch one day~ We had never had Somalian food and didn’t know what to order. The staff there made some suggestions and we had the yummiest food EVER🩷 everybody was so sweet and helpful! We are planning to return many times in the future and bring family and friends!”

“So, I ate a few pieces before I posted. This is some of the best pizza around the Lake Street area. There are no tables in the restaurant, but there are plenty of shops in the area to check out while you wait for your pizza to get done. It's worth the wait, and it tastes great! It's also reasonably priced, and the service is nice. Get a little grab and go.”

“This place is really cool, with a trendy laid back vibe. It’s unique for it sake (didn’t partake but it’s a speciality here) My recommendations must haves: Brussel sprouts, the crispy chicken bun (might want two they are so good), the JFC chicken is so crispy and delicious, and the maitake mushroom ramen is fantastic. Shout out to the manager who you can tell puts love into this place, we didn’t have reservations but she went out of her way to give us some options on a Friday night when it was packed.”

“Great service, great food and absolutely great people! I went in and immediately I was offered free samples to see what I'd like. Good thing that was offered because I went for a different dish than I would of tried. Very generous portions indeed. Next time I'm in Minneapolis I'll try something else from here.”

“This place was waaaay better than any fast food spot in the neighborhood! I ordered the cheeseburger and fries, and that came with a can of soda. While the meat seemed to be REAL BEEF, and the French Fries had a really good powder all over them, the soda was generic and gave me a stomach ache. Also I do have to say that if you ain't got at least $10 don't even go in here (unless you only want some French fries!) It's not as affordable as any fast food, but like I said the food is made of better quality ingredients as far as I could tell. The guys working here were really friendly, and I could tell that the majority of their customers are from the neighborhood! Oh yeah, one thing I hate is when a place don't have no napkins, but it's even x10 worse if they ain't got no hand towels in the bathroom, and these guys failed both those tests, so I could only give them 4 stars, and to be 100% honest with you, it was a bit grimey in the eating area and bathroom, the maid must have been off duty that day. But HEY, don't let that stop you from placing your order, support a local spot, and have a happy New Year! Please give this honest review a thumbs up if it was helpful. That way, I know if people are reading them! Enjoy your food, and please stay strong, North Minneapolis 2024 will be a year of many changes in the world. As humans, let's hope they benefit us all!!!”

“My boyfriend’s and I favorite taco truck in the cities! It’s cash only, and honestly our only reason to have cash! Our favorites are the Mulas and you can never go wrong with anything with pastor or cabeza meat!”

“AMAZING! The owner is very personable and has great communication. My family and I enjoyed the beef ribs, they were beyond my expectations. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful, tender bbq Jussmoke is the business to support. I look forward to trying more items in the near future. Thanks again for making dinner easy for my family and I.”
Address: KHUE'S KITCHEN at BAR BRAVA, 1914 N Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55411, USA
“Khue's kitchen is a separate, but partnered kitchen INSIDE Brava bar (I did a separate review for Brava Bar). The atmosphere is sophisticated, modern-vintage. The Lo-fi urban music is plays in the background at just the right decimals. If you enjoy asian cuisine, you will absolutely love the food. One of the best things about the food is the PRICE. I ordered the chili crunch wings. It came out steaming but it was not too hot to dig in right away. Let me tell you, that first bite of the crunchy, flakey chicken wing will enlist you as a devotee. It's hard to truly describe how chicken wing skin so thin can have so much savory crunch. I actually used my fork to eat all the crunchy stuff that fell on the plate☺️ Complements to the chef👌🏿, who may be Khue... sorry I got lost in the chili crunch and didn't get his actual name. But deductive reasoning tells me it's Khue. You should for sure go here if you're in the Twin Cities. If you're a local, I'll probably see you because I'll be coming back several times to try the other menu items.”

“My new favorite chicken place. Online ordering is not good, you still gotta wait. Maybe calling is better. Just have extra time to wait, going on your lunch break may not be the best idea.”

“I’m so happy restaurants are trying to bring Lyn Lake back. Loved the industrial vibe of the space. Super tasty yet delicate Southeast flavors come together, perfect salty, savory, bitter and acidic. We tried all the meats and loved the chicken and pork belly the most. Get it with vegetables so you can wrap the meat with lettuce and the purple rice. Omg chefs kiss! No wonder its a James Beard finalist.”

“Great little eclectic restaurant with fantastic service, food and ambiance. I would definitely recommend. The staff is amazing. From the cashier to the chefs making the food. Everyone is so friendly. The variety of coffee drinks is great. You will find things you won't find anywhere else.”
Address: 607 W Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55408, USA
“It’s an interesting bar located in Lyn-Lake. It’s almost like stepping into the set of Miami Vice with low grade cocaine because everything is moving slow. But it has an interesting vibe. This is opposite direction the other bars. Nice people and a mixed Equatorial and some Peruvian dishes. It’s kind authentic but the food does not have a lot of taste. The drinks too are borderline boring. The food is expensive and not worth it.”

“Good coffee and excellent sandwiches served on some kind of bagel thing they call a “bungle”. I’ve had a good egg and cheese sandwich, a quality chopped cheese, and an unforgettable smoked salmon bagel that I think was a special but I hope they keep it. I think they also sell some spreads and maybe even pizza by the slice? Hoping that’s right.”

“A lovely cafe opposite across the street from Our Kitchen for those who don't want to deal with their obscene wait times. They'll seat you with a menu, then you have to order at the register. Very cool vibe with artwork all around. Although it can get pretty busy, it doesn't get super loud. Some indoor and uncovered outdoor seating. Drinks were amazing, loved our hot cocoa and lattes. The lunch sandwiches we had were so good. I highly recommend the hot honey chicken sandwich. Chips for sides were fine for filling up. Chocolate cheese cake was one of the better ones I've had in town. Friendly staff that had a good feel for when we had questions and when to leave people be. Absolutely worth buying more than just food, just note that the price adds up rather quickly. Free wifi.”

“What a unique place! Fool me Once passed ALL the vibe checks. The staff were amazing, super friendly and conversational. We had a great conversation with the bartender, learned a bit about the bar and a surprising amount about professional arm-wrestling. The food was just ✨ fantastic ✨. I had the vegan crunchwrap, a classy take on the classic taco bell garbage fire, filled with mushrooms, beans, and plenty of flavor and texture. It was delicious and so filling. The drinks were just as good. Delicious 😋. I had an NA mule, and it hit the spot perfectly, priced appropriately as well. Definitely plan on coming back here, and I'd recommend you check it out if you get a chance! 💙🐦✨”

“I only got potatoes and pancakes but they were extremely tasty and the menu is decently sized. Staff was all nice, and the interior is nice as well although there is not a huge amount of tables. Definitely a new local favorite for sure.”
