“Hiccups is the place to go ! Hiccups is a Vietnamese restaurant that impresses with its diverse menu, including pho, fried rice, garlic noodles, and teas with boba. The pho stands out with its aromatic broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs, offering a comforting and authentic taste. The fried rice is flavorful and well-balanced, while the garlic noodles are a deliciously savory and garlicky delight. Their boba teas, available in various flavors, are refreshing and come with perfectly chewy tapioca pearls. With a cozy atmosphere and attentive service, Hiccups is a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal.”

“Appu’s is everything that a California restaurant should be. This place has healthy, fresh and authentic Indian food. I can in for a late lunch and the owner and staff were so nice. Appu’s is the opposite of a chain restaurant. When you come in here, you are treated like family. If you want to try some incredible Indian food with a nice Californian twist then come visit Appu’s Tuneric Cafe in Long Beach.”

“This place is 5/5! Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Their service is top tier. They gave us extra pieces of sashimi and special dishes from the chef. I wish I didn’t live so far away. Presentation and quality of fish was superb. If you are a sushi lover and in the area, this is hands down the best sushi! Recommend the butter salmon, it is not what it sounds like. It’s still raw and chilled.”

“I bought my lunch on the mainland. Really greasy burger and fries from an authentic L.A. food truck. Anyway, got two of everything, ate one meal for breakfast and took the fairy to the magic kingdom of Catalina. I had a great time on the isle of dreams and stopped at West End in mid-afternoon. I ordered a coffee, took out my second meal and proceeded to pig out. I had a great time for next to no $. So for me, The West End was cheap and atmospheric. A perfect place to bring your own food.”

“If you never had the chance to visit a North Beach Italian restaurant before SF was ruined by the tech bros, Mount Shasta has the answer. Gigi’s is a great little Italian restaurant with the original Italian-American style. Proud of their heritage- photos and great food to prove it. Fun spot. Well worth the morning. If you’re lucky, you might catch Gigi there. Hurry before he moves back to Italy!”

“The absolute BEST Al Pastor burrito I’ve ever had in my life. I had to come back after I was done eating buy something else just to give them more business and enjoy the awesomeness. You can’t be disappointed here, the meat is flavored perfectly and cut perfectly and everything is super fresh. I’m sad they only have one location in Mt. Shasta and I hope they expand open something up in Redding too one day soon!”

“Nice local supermarket. I really enjoyed the small hot bar where I got some BBQ tri tips and chicken wings. I used the BBQ meat to make my own sandwich with store bought sourdough bread. Locals recommend getting a sandwich from their deli.”

“Super cute little business! They had some really delicious adaptogen coffee and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of ingredients that they use. This little shop adds a lot of life to this area, which desperately needs more things like this. So happy to see that they exist, and wish them nothing but the best for a long running successful business.”

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hazel Hill Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food - specifically, the steak! I ordered the ribeye, cooked to perfection, and it was truly divine. The tenderness, flavor, and presentation were all top-notch. The steak was cooked exactly as I like it, with a beautiful char on the outside and a juicy, pink interior. The seasoning was spot on, and the portion was generous to say the least. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and modern decor that set the tone for a lovely evening. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. Overall, I would highly recommend Hazel Hill Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Their steak is a must-try, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu offerings! Rating: 5/5 stars!”

“Excellent fresh food and extensive menu. I have tried the spicy pork and Lemongrass BBQ pork Banh Mi. And my wife had the chicken katsu plate. All were fresh and very flavorful. I was anxious the lemongrass would be overpowering but it is balanced perfectly with the bbq flavors. Highly recommend!”

“Great hidden spot for some authentic Mediterranean food. They served a very good quantity as well as quality shawarma and kebabs. Surprised to find this spot in the middle of nowhere. The only downside is that there is no sit-down dining. They have a couple of seats outside, though.”

“The food was great! I had aloo paratha with curd- it was authentic punjabi paratha with butter, dahi and chai. It’s a trucker’s stop with limited parking, fixed menu- all with great value for money! It’s right next to the highway as well- definitely must visit on the highway to get home quality punjabi meals.”

“Update: Came back again on Tuesday and received amazing customer service from Emily. That girl is so sweet and full of energy. This time we tried the crunch birria, shrimp taco, and birria taco all amazing. I'll be thinking about it til we return 🤣 I'm very surprised by the mix of reviews and the amount of negatives. This place was so delicious, full of variety of flavor and fresh veggies. The employees were all sweet and very friendly. We had the fried fish taco, fried shrimp taco, Korean taco, and the pork belly taco all off of the house tacos menu. I was a huge fan of the fish and shrimp taco the Korean and pork belly were pretty close in flavor/toppings still good but I would've swapped one to try another variety. The chips and salsa although you pay they give you extra chips as needed and the salsa tasted good and fresh. The spicy elote as the appetizer was my favorite item we got, the creaminess on the corn was delicious. The only thing was I wish it was bigger and more formal sit down dining I can't imagine what they will do when they grow and get busier cause it's so good.”

“****Update**** On my second visit, this past Tuesday night, the restaurant was very understaffed. Michele seemed rushed (but in her defense, she was the only server, which is unfair to her and the customers during peak time). We ended up getting our own containers and bag from the cashier. I tried the peach cloud this time, and it was not blended correctly (I am comparing to the mango cloud from a previous visit) as the drink was not smooth but rather chunky-ish. The Beef Noodle Soup has a high level of white pepper that is off-putting and a distraction from the main components of the noodle soup. We held the pork on the green beans, but 'pickles' were added. This was also quite unfortunate because those also take away from the sauce and green beans. (Last visit, they were soggy little, but this time was awesome) ****************** First timer! Food was delicious... servicing was AWESOME!!! There were two servers on the floor plus another floater... NO pictures of food because I ate EVERYTHING!!! Scallion pancakes and dumplings were wonderful”

“Casa Ramos in Sacramento offers a delightful experience for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. One of the standout dishes is their spinach enchiladas. These enchiladas are a perfect blend of fresh spinach, perfectly seasoned and wrapped in tender tortillas, then smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that enhances the natural taste of the spinach. The cheese enchiladas are another must-try, featuring a generous amount of melted cheese enveloped in soft tortillas, complemented by a savory red sauce that adds just the right amount of zest. The enchilada dinners at Casa Ramos are well-rounded and satisfying, served with traditional sides like rice and refried beans. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave the restaurant feeling full and content. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a vibrant decor that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. Overall, Casa Ramos in Sacramento impresses with its delicious spinach and cheese enchiladas, making it a top choice for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.”

“Pretty busy on St. Patrick's Day. The service was quick and good. Martina was very friendly. I had the chicken fried steak and it was made fresh. The steak was a bit too chewy but it was flavorful. My wife had the biscuits and gravy with two sausages and scrambled eggs. The sausages were excellent and the biscuits were moist.”

“We go to a lot of places because my guy is a musician. This is top 5 for sure! I love the drinks, the staff, the vibe, the food… honestly I came here with no expectations and even if I did, they would have been exceeded. We will be back here for a date night soon! Just go and support this awesome spot!”

“This restaurant is so cool! When you walk in, you are met with a delicious aroma of fresh cooked meat and spices, complimented by a sleek black and chrome design scheme complete with Neon and LED lights, which make for an excellent atmosphere. The food is delicious. My group was unsure how the process worked but our waitress did an excellent job explaining the process. We ordered the B deal, which includes hot pot, BBQ, and Sushi, with all you can eat toppings for hot pot, BBQ, and Sushi. The fish was fresh and the sushi tasted great. All of the meat and produce was fresh and it was really fun putting together your own meal. It is pretty pricey but the fact that you can eat as much as you want makes up for it. This was an excellent experience and we will absolutely be back!”

“The Almond Tree Grill and Lounge has been an icon in the entertainment scene since 1978. The lounge features live music, dancing and karaoke four nights a week. It's a neighborhood dive bar and a favorite with the locals. There is a small stage for live music. If cigarette smoke bothers you, I'd sit as far away from the smoking area as possible. The smoking area is a covered outdoor area and the smoke travels inside the lounge every time someone opens the door, which is often. This is a good date spot for strong drinks and people watching. A fun game to play with your date is, name the song and the artist the band is playing. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY”
