“All I’m going to say is get there, food was fye. Got a cheeseburger and steak burrito. Both was good, steak burrito was fresh and savoy. Let someone taste it and the next day they got one. That’s how you know it’s good. They open till 12am and the prices are decent 👌🏾. I recommend this place!”

“I usually don’t do reviews but, I actually really enjoyed this. I saw them on instagram and wanted to give it a try, I got the buffalo chicken melt and loved it, the fries were good too they’re seasoned. I like the restaurants concept with the waffle theme and it’s really cute and clean in there, they also had good customer service. I’ll be back.”

“I’m so happy that there is Mediterranean food close to me now. I love the variety. The gyro/ sharwerma dinner platter was delicious. The mint tea/lemonade is so refreshing and delicious. The baklava was crispy and gooey and not overly sweet. Rafael was very friendly and professional.”

“Walking down Lake Street near Morgan found this newly open taco restaurant. Did not have time to sit and eat so I ordered three tacos to go . Nothing fancy in the restaurant just a straight taco joint. Two steak tacos and one lengua with cebolla y cilantro (onion and cilantro) to go. If a Mexican restaurant can't do a basic taco then in my opinion not worth having anything else from said restaurant. One thing to know they do serve alcoholic beverages in addition to Mexican soft drinks they did have a happy hour special Wednesday through Friday for a 24 oz margarita for $9.99 versus its regular price which was a little steep but again it was 24 oz and I think it was $19.99. not too bad of a happy hour deal. All the staples are there enchiladas, tortas, steak, burritos and quite surprisingly pizza? So I was sent home with my three tacos and three different types of salsa ranging from mild to spicy. I am Mexican so spicy (heat) food and spicy salsa to me has to be really spicy not your average spicy level. Very surprised that each salsa had a unique homemade taste and was right on with each level of heat. The only disappointing thing for me was the super spicy was not super spicy again this is for me. But it was delicious I could taste the chilies the aromatic spices in each salsa.... Nothing watered down here. When it came to the tacos they also come with lettuce and tomato if you choose or eat them traditionally with onion and cilantro both the steak and the lengua meat were well seasoned, well cooked and the tortilla was grilled and steamed on the grill top versus microwaved I thought these tacos were as homemade traditional as you can get in the West loop they sort of reminded me of those 3:00 a.m. trips after a club to La pasadita on Ashland. Yes a little greasy Yes slightly salty but yummy nonetheless. This totally blows away all the frou frou taco places that have inundated the West loop you should go before the prices go up.”

“Wow, 100% delicious food items! My son had the German style hamburger and I had french fries with bacon and cheese. Everything was cooked fresh hot and fast. The employees were very kind. It is a great open style seating area, many places to sit and many other surrounding restaurants to get other food items while you’re visiting.”

“Listen this place is amazing! I was visiting from out of town and so happy my family suggested we go to Lizzy J’s! Excellent food and service! The biscuits are top tier! The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are something different, you have to try them! I didn’t leave anything on my plate! I was there for Sunday brunch, loved the DJ. Just go visit!”

“Yes, yes and more yes. This place is a beautiful addition to Fulton Market. Homemade pasta, sandwiches and more at affordable prices. I was so overwhelmed ordering because I wanted to try it all. The staff was absolutely above and beyond. Patient while we ordered, checking in while we ate and clearing plates upon finishing. Even though we were “those” customers walking in a bit too close to closing time, they were more than accommodating and did not rush us out. There is something here to satisfy every palette. My only regret is not ordering another dish to take home for the next day! Beautifully curated space with epic food.”

“This place was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and the service and atmosphere were perfect. The waiter always made sure we had what we needed but didn’t bother you too much. He was very kind and helpful in making recommendations. The design inside is beautiful with chandeliers, velvet booths, and gorgeous wallpaper. And the FOOD. So delicious. We started out with the Cesar salad, that was made table side. It was so creamy and the croutons were so buttery. Then we got the New York strip and it was cooked perfectly, and came with some yummy roasted garlic. We also got the king crab linguine and shared everything. The drinks were great too! It was a great experience overall and I can’t wait for the next time.”

“Obviously nothing compares to the Guinness Brewery in Dublin, including the Guinness itself. But outside of that, it’s a great brewery filled with unique, Chicago-inspired beers. I have NEVER tried anything like the Spicy Lemongrass Smash! I wish there better / more Irish-inspired snacks, but the pickled veggies were very tasty! A small-ish interior too (also unlike Dublin; it was too windy to sit outside). Would recommend beer lovers come here, but the Guinness itself is sadly pretty standard to anywhere else in Chicago.”

“Went there for a Mother's Day dinner and it was basically empty. Nobody dining in and only 3 other tables outside. It was Great...for me! I didn't need to yell to have a discussion and service was fast... but after the other tables left, it seemed/felt like there was a reason there wasn't a crowd like there was at Diego, just a block down on Ogden. Now that place was jammed packed! Gonna try that place at some point.”

“Diego lives up to all it's hype! The drinks are creative and the food I'd delicious! We ordered the well known tuna tostada which has got alot of hype as the best tuna tostada and I can see why. The other tostada (shrimp y mac) was also very good. We also tried the burger and it was zesty and yummy. We also loved our server! She was very nice and gave great recommendations.”

“Had a great experience at Pasta Veneta (tucked away at the West side of Fulton Market). One of the easier spots to get into in the area, but it seemed to pick up around 6:45 on a Tuesday night so depending on your group size you may need a reso! Their pastas are made in house daily so you can’t go wrong with any of the pasta combos, but the gnocchi w wild mushrooms was our favorite (especially bc the creamy sauce wasn’t too rich/heavy). Was also impressed by the tuna carpaccio. All of the ingredients in every dish tasted super fresh!! Excited to see how their menu offerings change seasonally. “The vibes in here are really good but the food was just not it for the price. We went during breakfast/brunch, and I had the Greek yogurt, an almond milk latte, and the avocado toast. The Greek yogurt is really good but the avocado toast was avocado on toast. It was a big cut of bread and very little flavor. I would say the prices are for the ambiance and not for the food.”

“We had a blast celebrating at the speakeasy omakase inside the Emily Hotel. From a price point, this is much more affordable than others around the city, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality for the cost. The room had a cool underground hip hop vibe. The chef did a good job explaining each piece, but it was less conversation about the whole design of the menu than we typically get at an omakase experience. We opted for the Bougie 17-piece package which was the right move. Highlights for me were the scallop, surf and turf, spotted prawn, mackerel, and the Big Mac, which is an upgrade piece when your meal is finished. (Pro tip: you wait in the lobby for them to get you at your reservation time, so get drinks at the bar while you wait)”

“It was my step daughters birthday and after we left our dinner location we stopped here to have a few drinks before we went home. We haven’t been here in about a year. It was originally the acme hotel and I’m thinking after a sale and a few renovations.. selva emerged.. even better than ever.. we only stayed for about a hour.. but we had a great time.. I just wish we had more time but maybe next time..”

“We have been coming here for quite some time now, but just take out and poke only. I have waited until I have tried their noodles before writing a more comprehensive review of their offerings. Overall it is pretty solid, although we have had different experiences with the poke bowls. While the ingredients are fresh, the rice sometimes can be a bit too hard, and not the chewy hard, more like undercooked hard. I think partially because it was cooled so it won't affect the flavor of the fish and the other ingredients, but still. The ramen that I had was just ok. The miso flavor is not very strong, but it has a good soup base. The noodles were overcooked, no chew whatsoever but they haven't got to the point of falling apart. The worst part was the chashu, it is paper thin, but the meat itself was very nice, perfect fat and lean ratio. Now the beef noodle soup, perfect! The soup base, the noodles and the beef were all on point, strong five spice flavor throughout. There is plenty of meat in it. I would definitely come back for that.”

“🧐Um....The staff was very nice. The jerk tacos were decent, and the pot roast empandas were decent. The chicken pasta was very good. The fried chicken wings were too salty & the dressing had too much sage and salty as well. The yams were tasty but stringy. Overall, I was disappointed but happy to meet up with friends I hadn't seen in over 15 years.”

“I went to Tabu for restaurant week 2024 and OH MY GOODNESS. The food was not just fantastic but so filling! The DJ kept the atmosphere light and fun (I wanted to get up and dance the whole time) and the decor of the restaurant is just beautiful!! Highly recommend going for restaurant week and in general - the chefs know exactly what they’re doing at Tabu”

“Tre Dita has quickly ascended to the top of my dining preferences, distinguishing itself through culinary artistry and impeccable service. The pasta, masterfully crafted to resemble pastry, exemplifies the kitchen’s precision and creativity. Each bite delivers a flawless texture—neither overly firm nor excessively soft—showcasing the pasta’s sublime preparation. The accompanying sauce merits particular acclaim; it is creamy yet balanced, avoiding the pitfall of becoming cloying after several mouthfuls. Beverage quality, often a subjective field, is undeniably high at Tre Dita. The drinks are crafted with notable skill, offering nuanced flavors that cater to refined palates. Service at the restaurant is exemplary. The waitstaff, demonstrating a high level of training, strikes the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion, enhancing the dining experience without intrusion. The ambiance melds modern elegance with a relaxed spirit, making it an ideal venue for various occasions. While the restaurant offers a charming view of the lake, it might not be the most spectacular vista available, but it certainly complements the overall upscale yet welcoming atmosphere. Tre Dita, therefore, stands out not only for its culinary achievements but also for creating an environment where every element is thoughtfully curated.”
