“I got in line on a Sunday evening as a way to mark the end of summer, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a line of 6-8 people to place their orders and another 4-6 people waiting for their ice cream on the other side. Service at both counters was friendly and efficient given the number of customers. I waited for what seemed like five minutes or so which I thought was reasonable. Others ate their ice cream around the store, but I took my ice cream away so I could freeze one for the next day and eat the other. The flavor selection was more diverse than what I had seen at a couple of other ice cream parlors. Not being as much a chocolate or nut fan as most, I was able to sample four more fruity flavors in two small cups for just over $10 total. The textures for all four scoops were predictably smooth throughout. The pie-flavored scoops of key lime and apple crunch had the brightest tastes for me. I liked the crunch element for the apple pie scoop, and I found the bright green color for the key lime appealing (I hope it was not artificial). The banana scoop was also quite satisfying, even if I had a deeper flavor elsewhere. The blackberry looked the part, and I would have liked a more assertive flavor to go with the purple color. I thought getting the variety of flavors for under $3 a scoop proved to be a decent value for the area with friendly service, so I could see myself visiting in the future if I wanted a more unique ice cream flavor or two or three or four.”

“Perfect place for a cold winters evening. Took the family, the kids (adults) love Korean food. The extra spicy isn’t too spicy. Seafood tofu jjigae is heavy on the tofu, light on the shrimp and other seafood. The individual hotpot is nice. Service was a little confused by our asking questions but resolved when someone more fluent in English came to the rescue. This is Korean home cooking/ comfort food. The place is new and was pretty crowded fir a Thursday night. We definitely will be back. Kids liked it as did I.”

“The pieces of steak for my fajitas were too large to eat in a single bite (which is what I'm used to doing with fajitas) and they were too tough to actually bite through. This meant I had to cut everything into smaller pieces before I could eat. The flavors were good, though, so at least they got that right. The buttered chicken enchiladas (or burritos - I don't remember which they were) had pats of butter in them. She said they were a flavorful fusion and she enjoyed them.”

“We were looking for shawarma and came across this place via a Google search. They recently opened this location and we met the owners while waiting for our food. They were super friendly and they told us all about their experience in cooking and catering. When we opened our take out boxes at home we were delighted to find heart designs! It was a sweet gesture and the food was delicious! The pita/pastry wrap was crispy and the meat was flavorful and juicy (we ordered the chicken and beef options). We'll definitely be ordering from here again.”

Smiles all around, welcome to Mama Sarah's. Please seat yourself. Friendly beyond, just like if someone came to your kitchen! The menu is straightforward and easy to read. Any questions we had were answered. And our food came out....we were shocked!!! So much food! It looked good and it was so very good. Every person that came to our table was so kind and friendly thank you all. This day and time that speaks so much! We could not eat all of our food, so we had to get a to go box. We continued shopping, but before we went back, we called in orders to take home for that evening. Try this place you will not be disappointed at all!”

“This establishment went above and beyond all expectations. I chose this location for the igloos on the Outer deck, and the staff assisted me with my date night/proposal by specifically decorating our igloo with some of the stuff they had left over from Valentine’s Day, brought out two glasses of ginger ale with hibiscus flowers in them because we are alcohol free, and a special dessert all of which they did not charge us for. They also allowed me to have flowers delivered to the location the day before to help me out with the surprise I was planning for my fiancé the food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers, to the main course, to the dessert. The entire staff was very pleasant and helpful. We have made it our official yearly anniversary spot. Highly recommend!”

“It's a chill spot. No cover charge. They have security. It's a dim, intimate vibe. Mixed age crowd. Good music- Classic and newer. They have happy hour drinks at a cheap cost. Don't come super hungry. There are a lot of orders being placed at one time. And maybe 2 servers? So pack your patience. And be prepared to enjoy the DJ and have a drink (or 2) until your food arrives. High top seating, booth type seating and regular height seating. I had a few tequila sunrises with chicken chunks and fries. Portions are small compared to most places. But, I mean, it's bar food. In the past, I've ordered the fish as well. All were pretty decent.”

“We were in Richmond for GalaxyCon and wanted to grab a late lunch. We hit up the Google and kept scrolling through the “usual suspects” and saw Slay Burger. We weren’t 100% what we were “Slay”ing, but decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did!! What a tasty fresh-cooked burger!!! The Slay Sauce is great, still not sure what’s in it, but it’s tasty! The gentleman that took our order let us try some on a waffle fry. We ordered a Slay Burger and a Bacon Slay Burger and when we started discussing drinks, our server asked if it was our first time here. We said yes and, lo and behold, our drinks were free!! Great little place! I highly recommend it if you’re in the Richmond area!”

“I ordered the curry chicken, beef patty and coco bread, plantains, oxtail AND jerk chicken for my family and I. I tasted a bit of everything and I cannot sing high enough praise about the FLAVOR! Everything was well seasoned, meats tender and rice “Shelly” to perfection. The jerk is actually grilled and has a nice smoky flavor. Even the cabbage was BANGING! “Stopped in for lunch for the first time today, my wife and I got the chicken sandwich with fries, I got mine tossed in mild garlic sauce. Very good. “Some dinner items should be available all-day. If you can do burgers, you can do Chopped steak. A soup of the day should be offered (not just clam Chowder) Megan (our waitress) was outstanding. The mgr on duty was abrupt when I asked a question. Thank goodness the cook was over there as he answered my question without attitude. The smashed burger were excellent. However, best eaten on a plate with a fork as the bun is crumbly and falls apart. The bird in the hand would have been tasty if the chicken wasn't dried out. Did a great job on remodeling. Menu needs some dinners available for late afternoon.”
